"BEGONE!"

When he "grows up," he wants to be a world-renown evil villain. For now, he'll settle for glaring at anyone who comes near him. He has notebooks full of evil plots, some of which he creates miniature scenes to better envision his ideas. He will fly into a rage if anyone suggests he's playing with dolls.

He plays around with environmental magic when he's bored, has caused minor earthquakes and lair mishaps, but he is also very good at creating sculptures. He can see a shape in a lump of stone and bring out that shape into a beautiful masterpiece. He won't give them to anyone, he just leaves them lying around. Several of the other dragons have taken to watching him in the hopes that he will create a new sculpture with which they can decorate the lair.

Despite Aster's healing capabilities, Axel does not consider his clutch brother an enemy, but rather a neutral bystander and the only tolerable dragon in the clan. He can't stand either of his younger brothers, especially Atlas, who tries to mimic everything Axel does. He tends to send Atlas away on ridiculous requests just to get rid of him. Sometimes he makes Atlas find or grow him very rare plants, just to make him spend a lot of energy.

Familiar: Squeakers, Spirit of Plague
No one is entirely sure why they even let it in the lair, but Axel feeds it and plays with it without coming to harm himself. Everyone else is pretty sure the Spirit of Plague does get them all sick more often than they would like, but no one has yet succeeded in convincing Axel to get rid of it.
