Biography
Dulcis is a kind and gentle soul, although he is very reclusive. This dragon often spends his time wandering through the deepest parts of the gladeveins, his home. He's largely selectively mute, only talking when he feels it's necessary, but is known by many to be one of the best guides if you must go into or through the swampland, so on occasion he is sought out by others.
Quote:
A warm breeze blew through the leaves of the Gladevines, creating a sound that was familiar and soothing to the large dragon navigating through the dense forest as though it was the easiest thing in the universe for him. Dulcis smiled slightly and looked up at the large trees and vines hanging far above the ground, housing creatures of varying sizes. He loved wandering the damp groves, because, though he'd been there many decades and rarely discovered something new, it always calmed him and gave him a feeling of belonging.
His colorful fur stood out easily in the lush green underbrush, but the Gaoler cared little about it, he was too large for most predators and too fast for the ones that could pose a threat. Dulcis also knew how to evade the more dangerous wildlife almost instinctively. The only creatures that actively seek his light pink fur in the depths of the Gladevines are his own species. Dragons from all over Sornieth occasionally seek out his help with navigating the treacherous lands he loved so much. The old Gaoler doesn't particularly mind the company of other dragons and likes helping them a lot, he does believe that many of the travelers are more talkative than necessary.
Dulcis doesn't deem talking necessary most of the time. Body language is just as affective in his experience, so he likes to stay silent unless talking becomes necessary. His travel companions don't seem to mind this and most understand after a while and travel alongside him in a comfortable silence that is only interrupted by occasional questions that are answered wordlessly, yet understandable.
