Biography

LORE COMMISSION BASIC OUTLINE

BORN

His life in his original clan was dreary and dull.

A traveling stranger came and offered to let Hinado work with him for a few odd jobs. That was where he got the first real taste of what he wanted.

The shifting expanse was a harsh place He mostly started his mercenary work by hunting down wanted members of the beastclans.

As he got better, his name grew.

Dark. Warm. The space around him was closed to the outside world. Through the comforting wall around him, his developing ears could hear....something. A soft crooning. The tap of claws on stone, though he didn't yet know how to identify any of these sounds. There was no real thoughts, just an instinctual mild interest in what was outside of where he was.

It was time. His small home was cramped. What if he just stretched...

The shells cracked open and he was bowled out of the half he had been in. The world outside was so bright, so many sounds, smells, the feeling of the breeze. The world was confusing, with no order of rightness. He clutched his small, marble like pearl close to him, somehow knowing he couldn't risk losing such a thing as this. A large, protective wing folded over him lovingly and shaded him from the harsh skelter of the wide world.

"Welcome to the world my little one. I'm your mother." The large dragoness peered down at him, proud to have what looked like such a strong child. He burbled nonsense, happy.

There was something missing. He was ten now, the wider world making so much more sense than the first time he had tumbled out of his shell. The young dragon flopped into the ground, trying to figure out what was missing in his life. He loved his parents. He had friends. But there was still an itch there that he had no idea what would satiate it. Everyone else seemed to have something to do in this world, while it was his to simply play and enjoy life.

He walked the halls of his clans home, looking for his mother. She was off somewhere, doing whatever important thing she did when she wasn't around. It didn't take long to find her in a circle of dragons, talking out something for the clan. He cuddled up next to her, not intruding on whatever nonsense the adults were up to. It was never any fun.

When they were finished, his mother craned her neck down to him.

"Tire yourself out Hinado? You could have napped at home, or out in the sun." The young dragon shifted. The sun was nice, but it wouldn't answer his questions. No, only mother could. Mothers were supposed to know everything yes? Kairu always said her mother knew everything there was to know. But then, her mother was a..something. Something that collected knowing.

"Mom, I...want something. There's something I need. I don't know what it is, you see. This thing is like an itch, in the back of my brain. Calling to me. " His mother pursed her lips, looking up to the ceiling for a moment where a fae fire gave light. She stood slowing, motioning for him to follow.

" You know, there are dragons better than me you can ask about that. Our Guardian kin all have a Search. A task they must do in life, whether it is something they find and finish, or something that takes their entire lives. They would know well about what you need." The two walked the halls and emerged from the dark into the bright light of day. Something pinged in his distant memory, of falling and there being bright light. He shook it off.

With a little guidance, the youngling found his way to a pair of old Guardians sitting in the sun next to some cacti growing he. A bird squawked in the distance, but passed quickly. He sat quietly in front of them waiting for them to notice him. After some time passed, one of them opened an eye lazily, the great electric blue thing looking right at him. The guardian, massive thing he was, sat up almost silently. He then nudged his mate to also wake.

"Paria, we seem to have a visitor." The female, Paria, looked over and gave him a toothy grin.
<p>
"My mom..well, she told me you could help me! I need something, but I don't know what it is. She said, it's like Guardians first finding their Search." The bigger dragon leaned down so that he was level with the small Pearlcatcher.

"It indeed, sounds like our Search. I didn't know a Pearlie could have a Search, but I suppose it's not that strange." He whuffed, straightening out.

"Be nice Maharu. The poor little one is just discovering there is more to the world than playing with the tumble weed and sleeping in the sun. Sometimes I think you've forgotten that." Paria sniffed at her mate, then turned to Hinado.

" When we first discovered the feeling of our Search awakening, it was...scary. My brain flew a million ways, and I wanted to do everything at once. If you have something like, the first thing you need to do is keep calm, and think clearly. Many a Guardian have met Death by following their search irrationally." She shuffled, looking sideways and laying her head back on the ground over her legs.

"So...this is okay? I'm not crazy?" Maharu laughed. "No young one. You're fine."

It was storming, not a surprise for them. High winds, flashes of lightning, but no rain. It didn't rain often enough. Hinado liked the rain. He stood looking out at the devilry that was the wind, watching it rip the world up. A shadow filled the hall entrance, and the young dragon looked up.Standing there was a tired looking Wildclaw, covered in dusty robes that were flapping in the high wind. Hinado immediately srambled to his feet, calling out to the watch dragon. The wildclaw simply sat at the entrance, just inside enough to be out of the wind.

Bigger dragons came, and they all started to talk. After ascertaining the newcomer wasn't a threat, they allowed him deeper into their home, offering food and warmth until the storm had passed along. Who even knew how long that would be, as these windstorms could rage on for days at a time. Hinado stayed close, iterested in the newcomer. He hadn't seen a Wildclaw before. The dragon looked so lean and well...wild.

Two days in, the WAildclaw decided to talk to him, as he had spent quite a bit of his aking hours watchng her.

" I won't bite young one. I'm just restig until these terrible wids go away." He scooted closer to her. Her scales were patterened in bronze and blue with claws glowing like fireflies. She had mostly kept them curled under her to prevent them from being seen.

" I'm HINADO! wHO ARE YOU? aND WHAT WHERE YOU DOING OUT IN THE WIND LIKIE THAT.
