Biography

Ochrome
Charybdis
Zephyr Gem Guardian
100 hatchling challenge matriarch!
lore challenge!

Seductress/ exalt breeder. The clan acknowledges her and the dragons who don't have mates or haven't yet come along whenever the clan wishes to send the Windsinger Earthshaker some love.

Talva
Charybdis slunk into the room, eyeing up the unsuspecting Talva. With a slow hiss, she settled beside the lighter dragon, not-so-subtly curling her tail onto his. The blue Imperial glared at her for a few seconds, then silently accepted it. He knew he wasn't going to have an actual mate anytime soon, anyway. Charybdis smiled, sensing that she'd drawn one in.
Auku, Mister, Ichabod

Ajowan
Ahh. There. Charybdis could spot a lonely dragon from a mile away. Although she knew Ajowan had already had a mate, that was okay. It was hard enough to find males. She slipped beside him and waited, knowing the nature of the mirror to be a womaniser. Sure enough, he soon turned to her with a hint of a smile in his eyes.
Hey, WitchDoctor, GiveUsTheMagic

Vince
The traveling snapper had a certain allure. He was shy, a bit timid. Scared of his companion. Charybdis knew she could hook him. Just a bit of flattery, encouragement, ego-boosting. The naive snapper didn't know her reputation. When she had the hatchlings, she turned her back on him, and he left, heartbroken.
Darkling, Kcamira

Ajowan
Charybdis sighed. Lately there was a lack of traveling dragons. She knew the clan needed exalt fodder, the Windsinger needed helpers for the dominance push. Reluctantly, she turned back on her rule to the one she could always count on: Ajowan. He was only too happy to oblige. When the eggs were laid, she couldn't look at them.
Impatience, Alfie, Hunter, Mire

OkefenokeeJR
She was finally able to take her mind off of the mistake by engaging with another traveling dragon. Although they barely spoke, and Charybdis couldn't pronounce his name, it didn't matter. The clan viewed him, and she viewed him, only as another one of her catches.
Quillan, Panorus, RRR
[15/100]

Piers
When she realised she'd made another mistake, Charybdis wondered if she was just going to keep spiraling down and down. Piers had already had a mate, and he was a fixture in the clan. She resigned herself to a life without coffee as she sighed and resolved to never look him in the face again. Would she ever recover from this spiral? The downward one, and the literal one.
Viper, Cherry, Tairinkain

Talva
She found herself seeking comfort in Talva. Charybdis liked the Imperial enough to return to him a second time, but even so...it was another mistake. They'd been each other's firsts, though. Charybdis found him calming, accepting. Even if his words were a little scrambled, he always told her the truth. She found it refreshing, a stark contrast to herself.
Magical, Xirxes, Comet
[21/100]

Necro
Necro was by no means a nice dragon. His pale scales, blood-red eyes, and strange shifting runes made him almost undesirable, and yet, many had been drawn in. Charybdis found her reputation quickly plummeting and resolved to make up for it by sending even more hatchlings off to Windsinger... Necro was just another tool in the making.
Panicked, Valentino, Poorboy
[24/100]

Leonis
Her quarter goal was one that made her despised to almost everyone in the clan- she'd caught Leonis, the clan leader's original mate, who still held a status in the clan although he frequently left and returned, in her seduction- she hadn't recognised his new scales until she woke up and realised that the scars on his hide were those of her clan patriarch. Horrified, she fled and almost broke the egg before the dragon could hatch- but that would have defeated the whole purpose. Charybdis began to resign herself to her unlucky fate.
Happenstance
[25/100]

Kaito
Needing a fresh start, Charybdis scanned the clan for a new dragon, one who hadn't taken a mate yet. Across the corner of the cavern, she spotted Kaito- a young Imperial who had his heart set on a Nocturne who wasn't returning his affections. Heart heavy, Charybdis stalked down and opened her wings. When he saw her coming, his face fell- it had become somewhat of a clan rule that when Charybdis called, they must answer. For the clan's prosperity. So nobody would have to feel bad about being with her. Except, of course, for Charybdis.
Swiftblink, Percula, Prelude
[28/100]

Kaique
A coatl...Charybdis eyed him with interest. Normally, her clan wouldn't take coatls. For whatever reason, Moonbeam had had a falling out with a coatl years before the clan really got to its feet, something about a witch or other. So she couldn't ignore the opportunity. Charybdis flicked her tongue out and strutted over.
Tanithe, Rio, Satiran
[31/100]

Petraeni
Petraeni was a dragon much younger than her. Considering both his parents and his mentor all lived in the clan, she was as gentle as possible with this one. She was only glad that one of the Sages wasn't his mother- that wouldn't have gone down well. His father was still creepy though, carrying out their wishes without hesitation. Good for him, Charybdis thought, that he could still be with someone else without being turned into a wyvern. She finished her business up with the dragon quickly, anyhow, uncomfortable thinking about his parents.
Capricorn, Emily
[33/100]

Volin
The next sire almost made Charybdis laugh. Volin, a traveling dragon, immediately spotted her and strutted over, clearly looking interested. Now this was a sight- the seductress, being seduced? She was an expert by now, smiling in all the right ways. The clan made it easier for her- they never informed him of her reputation. By the time the hatchlings were born, he had to leave again, so for once, there wasn't any awkward goodbye. That was a breath of fresh air.
Birdsong, Merill, Malvina
[36/100]

Lanui
Feeling refreshed, the matriarch began to think that maybe traveling dragons were the way to go. She wouldn't be dealing with as much stigma, or treated like a chore or a right of passage for the males in the clan. Pondering this, Charibdys took her new idea by the horns and it produced immediate results- Lanui, who had no idea of her reputation, walked right into her claws and flew away happy.
Pearl, Cornell, Oyster
[40/100]

Andrew
Andrew was a cryptic dragon. She could never tell what he was thinking when he accepted her invitation- and then proceeded to be around as little as possible. Charybdis knew he was an actor, but couldn't help squinting at him a little bit from across the cave. Was it really obligation, or was it something else? Did it matter?

[43/100]

Fieyr
Making her way across the clan, she knew she'd eventually run out of promising stock. Fieyr, the druid, was an absolute nutcase in her opinion. Charybdis was forced to listen to hours of chattering about plant-related magical nonsense as he stayed by the nest day and night, and was almost tempted to bite his nose off.

Entree
Charybdis paid no attention to Entree at all. She was preoccupied with a moral dilemma- she'd broken the moral rules of the matriarchy a couple times by partnering with the same dragon or with dragons that already had mates. To rectify this, she dragged herself over to sit in on worship with the Windsinger disciples- Kaimai and Aranwen. Meditating, listening to the chimes, and feeling the winds on her teeth made her relax. Windsinger wouldn't mind. She'd put thought into every decision she made, and named all of her offspring. And that was worth something.
[55/100]

Quadriceps
Quadriceps was an odd one. Although he was new, she hadn't had a chance to approach him yet when he came directly to her, with the mutually beneficial goal of having hatchlings. His one condition was that he name the children. Strange, but not unfeasible. She watched curiously as he went on to father a small army of muscular children. Perhaps he would continue her legacy.
