______ Life wasn't kind to Yacu in the beginning. His parents abandoned the nest, most of his siblings died and to top it off, the first few seconds of his life consisted of cold rain and loud thunder. A terrifying thing to see when you're just born. Yacu didn't have clue what was going on, he didn't know where to go or what to do. But there was something pushing him to keep moving forward. And so he did. He traveled all throughout the tempest, hiding from other dragons and fighting off small animals. He soon reached the boarders of the electrifying lands and looked out into a beautiful blue lagoon.

______ Stepping down into the soft sands below, he felt a tug at his lips. His first smile. The land was so calming all he wanted to do was bask in the warm sunlight and swim in the blue sea, so he did. A lone Guardian stood near, watching the little mirror splash around in the water. Curious fish swam around him and oh boy did they look tasty. Yacu began scooping them up and eating as much as his little stomach could handle, exhausted he climbed out of the water and laid down on top of a sand dun. The guardian approached him and introduced himself as Moranyn. He asked where he was going and when Yacu didn't answer he nodded and got up to leave. Yacu however was desperate for a companion and decided to follow Moranyn. The odd meeting and unintentional reverse stalking turned into quite an odd friendship. Soon they made it to the boarders of the wasteland and by Stormcatcher was it beautiful.
Home, thats what this place was now.

______ They traveled through the lands of plague, their bond growing stronger and stronger. Moranyn became the father figure Yacu never had, he taught the dragonling how to fight and how to hunt properly. He taught him how to read and how to write in tempest tongue and how to harness magic. Yacu's learning days soon came to an end when Moranyn could no longer teach him anything else. Miraculously on that same day they came across a cliff side, which happened to be home to the Azmarin clan. Hakkan took one look at the duo and nodded his head in approval, welcoming the two runaways into his home.
