The only pearlcatcher to live permanently at the monastery, Ilovu is responsible for documenting major events and rituals. At any feast or celebration, Ilovu is there, sitting and writing peacefully in the corner. If she is approached, she will happily put her quill down to have a conversation; while quiet, Ilovu is sociable and enjoys the company of others. She greatly enjoys her work as archivist, feeling that the preservation of memories is a noble pursuit.

When the monastery is going about its usual functions, Ilovu can be found curled up in her room, organizing her records with a steaming cup of tea beside her. Her warmly-lit quarters carry the scents of cinnamon and anise; dragons find it a comforting spot to chat with her.

Ilovu is gentle and tender, with a clear but soft voice. She is beloved by the others, who see her as a soothing presence within the monastery.
