Biography
Anaya: Bringer of night, keeper of stars
(Astrologist)
Ever since she was young, Anaya has had her eyes on the stars. She is the clan's resident astrologist and star reader. Do not confuse her with a fortune-teller, though, she reads the stars to determine fates, and will gladly read the fate of any dragon who pays a small tribute. The stars tell her destinies, pasts, presents, and futures.
"I'm not a fortune-teller," she snaps at the wide-eyed hatchling. Anaya humphs and shakes her head, adjusting the cloth on her table. The cloth barely covers the beautiful mosaic of sea-glass gathered upon the full moon, and the hatchling stares, mesmerized, by each silky, sand-tossed piece of glass embedded into the table.
"Now, please tell me you've brought me something, because even if you have, I won't read your fate. You're much too young to be concerned about those kinds of things."
"But-"
"No buts! Enjoy your life, little one. And leave your tribute at the door, please."
The hatchling nods, downcast, and leaves a small, wrapped package at her door, sulking out. Anaya groans at herself.
"I shouldn't be harsh on the little ones, but I am," she says, to no one in particular.
