______ Areta was never meant to be in the Southern Icefield. She was born of an Arcane dragon and a Fire dragon, and frequently visited those places, although she herself is of the Lightning flight. She was accustomed to the heat and warmth and greenery of Sorneith, and when she arrived at the Southern Icefield she was totally shocked. Areta herself had no idea how she got to the realm of the Icewarden, but the first dragon to greet her was a guardian male named Vanir. He was on his search, but still hadn’t found what it would be. They quickly became fast friends, and Vanir helped her to survive in the cold wasteland. When they ran into Ikoro and Surasa, they were welcomed by the mirror and the fae into their small, but growing pack.

______ When Vanir finally found the object he was to protect, he definitely did his job. It was a strange bluesand agate, glittering in the snow. Areta may not have understood why he protected it, but she wasn’t judgemental either. Later on, she and Vanir became mates, and the pair was about as happy as they could be. Still an adventurous dragon, she often traveled back to the mainland of Sorneith, just to experience the summer again. Although she never did find her old clan, she is perfectly happy with her new one, and that's all that really matters to her.
