No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or the other." ~ by Flygo72 A dragon who is extremely determined to protect his lair and the people he cares about, first knight of Lord Gwyn and leader of the 4 Knights. Ornstein was one of Lord Gwyn's most trusted knights, and the first knight chosen by Lord Gwyn's Firstborn, Gwynfor. He has a very strong power over lightning although it becomes quite harmful when using it too often. Because of this reason he is next to Ludwig, one of the very few dragons to use an actual weapon to support him in combat, a spear infused with lightning itself. He is probably one of the quickest dragons in the sky and often described as lightning itself. Due to this a lot of dragons fear him, no one knows how many have already fallen to him, thus earning the title Dragonslayer. He can usually be found guarding his home together with Smough. His golden armor was made to resemble a lion and was imbued with the power of lightning. It is said that his lugged spear could slice a boulder in two. He was also granted a special ring, which greatly supports him in his combat. Ornstein is actually extremely insecure about his own appearance and usually hides away in his armour for the longest time, no one is entirely sure why, except for Smough, Gwynfor and Gwyndolin, three of his most trusted friends. Ornstein actually was the one who trained Smough, although the Executioner never truly reached his goal of becoming a true Knight. The two eventually began to bond and after quite some time love blossomed. |
