【 intro 】 Raiden is relatively reserved, and he is seen mostly talking to his mate and family than any other dragons; it is hard to get past the shell he has put up, and not many dragons care to try. He cares for his clan, though it isn't easy to see, even if he does not often involve himself in any social activities. He will help when help is needed, but he is selective with general talks, and you're better off discussing stuff with his mate; Raiden would rather prefer silence and time to himself. Around his family he is a completely different dragon, his layers peeling off to reveal a more sociable and joking dragon, loyalty and love brimming out of him (even if he has his own little ways of showing it). He is a scout and spy for the clan, quick to blend into the environment and put up a front needed for interactions with dragons. He is also familiar with the black market between regions and dabbles in it if the clan requires anything unable to be obtained through normal means (at the frequent displeasure of his mate). Some years after joining the clan, the slim dragon had ended up joining a group of dragons who worked in rescue missions (firefighters). Not long ago a tree-tied clan had been trapped by a fire that had engulfed the tree, and he and others had gone in to rescue stranded dragons -- he ended up disobeying the head of the group since the fire was out of control, but he knew that a young dragon was still trapped inside. He used himself as a shield for her and took the brunt from an explosion (the clan carried flammable materials used for alchemy). The injury left a large burn scar on his side that took months (if not a year) to fully heal. 【 history 】 The dark imperial was hatched within the cold alongside a twin sibling with the name of Haru; the two young Imperials had to learn to fend for themselves at a young age. The two young dragons had been reared by their mother and father, dragons from different deities, but at a young age they were stolen by their father and taken away to another part of the continent. Their father wasn't a kind one, and Raiden often took hits and scratches to protect his twin. When coming to the lands of Plaguebringer, he met another Imperial, strikingly white and with a smaller sibling. His twin brother and the smaller female got along well, dragging in him and the albino Imperial as well. He could consider them to be friends, something he really hadn't had before due to his personality repelling most dragons away, and they remained there, for a few good years before an event triggered him to leave, fly away and abandon everything. His father wasn't in a clean business with other dragons, shoddy sales, forgery, manipulation, thievery ... name it, and he trained his two hatchlings in the trade from a young age. One day an ambush came upon them and they were close to escaping when a young female dragon had wandered between them, in complete danger and with no experience with fighting -- she was a family friend that Raiden and Haru had known for years and considered to be close; Raiden chose to protect her, and in turn, his brother ended up getting slaughtered. Guilt wracked his body, always blaming himself for Haru's death because he chose the female dragon over protecting his own brother. He degraded and ended up slaughtering his own father out of rage before flying away and disappearing off the face of the earth. He met with the albino dragon once more after years... their friendship was strained and looked impossible to fix, arguments easily erupted between the two. He tried to push him away, to not let anyone get close to him again for fear of the pain of losing them again ... but he insisted, and inevitably eased his way past the barrier that Raiden had set, trying his best to heal the dark dragon from a past of pain. He became a pillar of support for the albino dragon, and vice-versa. Though he is not the best at comforting with words, sometimes he knows all he needs to do is offer a listening ear to his mate and someone to hold him — other times it might have to be tough love. Raiden finally admitted his trust in the other after so many months, and the fights settled down, slowly wounds began to be stitched together, and they moved back to the homeland Hideki was brought up in, finding a lair to join that felt like home. Their relationship was perfectly imperfect, cracks that fit together, ground against each other at moments, but whatever went wrong found its way to be fixed. Around Hideki you see a rare side of Raiden, an intelligent, very easily embarrassed, joking oddball who is vastly more open, brimming with loyalty and a light of life reserved for very few. The two male dragons are a little different than others would expect -- the albino is an alpha, and the ravenette an omega. The difference lies in the fact that the ravenette is able to bear eggs and children, and one day the two males come to find that they have come to be parents to one egg that hatched into a young hatchling, a physical mirror to Raiden's looks, and to Hideki's personality. Although the two fumbled at first as parents and Raiden had to fight his fear of being like his own father to them by accident, they had the help of the clan and their own families to adjust to the life of parents. With time and a handful of years, they have come to be the parents of 3 beautiful hatchlings they adore with their life.
