- Personality: Quiet but not intentionally rude. Doesn’t care for small talk. Becomes very distracted and restless while talking to other dragons. Unless that other dragon happens to be Obsidian. Personality becomes more pleasant and bubbly when around Obsidian
- Magic: A large internal reservoir of magic. Unclear what his source is. Most powerful mage in the clan.

Behind pillars and in nooks and crannies, slithers a dark fae with glowing red ruins and eyes. He watches curiously as his daughter dances around Archenar and an unrecognizable dragon. His name is Hematite. He’s one of the few odd denizen residing in the lair of Maksym.
Hematite is not necessarily a dragon. Born from the nightmares of dragons and made from pieces of Shade and corpses of Faes (much like how an Emporer is formed), he is what many would consider a demon. What he is a demon of is unclear. He showed up at Maksym injured and dying when Obsidian decided to take him in. As he healed he began to grow affectionate for the drakes he began to consider his clan mates and decided to stay. He remains aggressive and wary to outsiders and doesn’t leave the confines of the den other than to go with Obsidian on “secret missions”.
Why Hematite hermits himself, why he uses is powerful magic for things other than war, and why Obsidian and Hematite go through such a process to hide their obvious affinity to each other is among some of the greatest Maksym mysteries.
