Biography
Born to Eros and Avalon of The Southern Icefield, Nakia was one of nearly twenty children their parents hatched. While many tell her that it was a high honor for her parents to both be chosen to fight for the Icewarden, Nakia prefers to call it as she sees it: Her parents were conscripted against their will and sacrificed to an everlasting war as nothing more than cannon fodder. She was left an orphan for this so-called high honor.
After waiting many moons to hear from her parents, Nakia finally admitted defeat, letting go of the hope that she had clung to desperately for half of her life. The hope that they would return home, return to her. She shed that disillusion along with the painful pipe dream that her siblings would also make their return. Only four of her brothers and sisters have escaped the battle that rages in Sornieth, something she doesn't dare believe to be a lasting fact. In her mind, it's only a matter of time before they're all sent off to fight a war they've been brainwashed to believe holds great honor and prestige, rather than the cold reality of fear, pain, and eventual death.
Disgusted with the viewpoints of her parents' clanmates and family members, she ventured off, leaving the frozen lands she had called home for her entire life. It wasn't until she met her mate Ankaa that she finally began to allow herself to hope again, a tiny flame bursting to life in her chest as he vowed to never leave her side. Not for anything, but especially not for a war that had already taken so much from her. As it happened, Ankaa himself was abandoned by his own mother and had lost his father to The Icewarden's war effort as well.
Together, they live together in the safety of Clan Aeonian, nestled deep within The Tangled Wood, where they have finally found happiness. Their hearts were shattered when one of their clanmates broke the news of Nakira, their eldest daughter, had decided to fly off in search of her grandparents, and became yet another casualty of war.
