Gloom Lurkers Subspecies

It depends on which cycle of the moon they’re born under. Those born under a Full moon (and the 5 days surrounding) are called “Vibrance Gloom Lurkers” while those born under a new moon (and the 5 days surrounding) are called “Pale Gloom Lurkers”

“Pale” Lurkers are more inclined to Active Haunting, looking to give a good, mischievous scare. They could be classified as the “Malevolent” of the two. Their voices are described as metallic sounding.
“Vibrance” are the calmer of the two species, mostly viewed from afar as a witnessed wandering. They are said to be very soft spoken with echoing voices.

Travelers to the Wispwillow Grove will often report hearing whispering and shrieking from among the giant, glowing shrooms often causing them to turn back an abandon their adventure.

Floating through the Grove...are the Gloom Lurkers. Gloom Lurkers are spirit dragons born under the light of the full moon or under the shroud of the new moon. The cycle of the moon dictates their base personality.

Gloom Lurkers are dragons of every shape and size and their consumption of the ooze that comes from the giant shrooms give them a bright blue glow that betrays their approach. Nowhere else in Sornieth are these dragons found naturally.

These dragons are not actively malicious, though some would see their trickery and pranks against the living as such.
