Originally a young ward of the temple, left there as an infant, Nuthilyan had grown up not knowing anything about himself. This left him saddened as he grew, for even having the temple as his home, he never had a family or a purpose until meeting Verethi. While he used to be unsure of which path he wanted to follow, Nuthilyan now works as a temple guard to support his mate, Verethi, and son, Esrare. Then one day he found a small hatchling alone in the woods on a dark night. He immedietly fell in love. While he tells others that he took the infant home because his wife would now how to raise a nocturne better than the temple, it was also hbecause he hoped that maybe he could give the child a family. As Flyrain grows up, Nuthilyan takes comfort in guiding his son best he can,
so Flyrain can avoid the pain he went through.
