Honeybee was a soldier. After the fighting, Honeybee, and those she fought with, were left with the daunting task of deciding what they were going to do with their lives afterwards. None had families to return to and all were tired of fighting, of death. They all just wanted peace. The group found companionship with each other and decided to stick together. As they survived together, the others began to admire how Honeybee was hopeful and believed that they could still survive together. Many of them had doubts that they would still be able to find peace in their lives, but Honeybee gave them hope and so they followed her. Oracle, a member of their group, affectionately began to call them Honeybee's Band and the name suck.

They survived. They traveled in search of a place to call their own. While they didn't continue to wear their uniforms, they kept their hoods as a show of solidarity. But everything changed when Honeybee ran into another fae while scouting the area they were in. As she scouted, she stumbled upon a purple fae . . . "Singing"? It was an odd song and the fae was singing it while waving a stick? Honeybee almost left then, what did it matter to her what this odd fae was doing. They weren't a threat to her band's current camp and so she should just leave them to their . . . "dancing". But as she watched, she noticed that the fae, a male she noticed as she crept closer, was smiling happily as he hopped about and waved his stick. He looked, she hesitated to think, peaceful and joyful. Honeybee found herself captivated as she watched him. He was spectacular. He moved with an agile grace that came not from fighting, but from just other exercise. Probably the dancing, she thought. Even if he was . . . different, she found herself admiring his unique coloring along with his eyes. That shade of purple would be very impractical in a battle, he would stand out too much, she found herself thinking. She was thinking further along those lines when the striking fae suddenly noticed her watching.

Honeybee once again found herself wanting to leave, but as he approached, she found that she didn't want to. He invited her to dance with him, apparently he was performing to honor the Gladekeeper. He introduced himself as Twinkle and Honeybee found herself enamored with the bubbly fae. She brought him back to the camp with her, and was happy to find that her companions had similar thoughts, as they all found Twinkle happy and yet capable.

Twinkle and Honeybee eventually became mates and Twinkle showed them all a series of glades and caves where they could stay. There the dream of the Sanctuary was born. A place where they could be at peace, have a home. Where Honeybee's Band could protect and rest and Twinkle could teach them how to relax and how to sing all the songs he knew.
