Charoite

She likes gossip and she likes to be in the middle of things because she considers herself a vital member of the clan, which also leads her to believe that she needs to know everything about everyone. This has led her to become the clan recorder, taking minutes on meetings, notes about clan activities, and gathers regular feedback from the dragons in the lair on happiness, morale, and suggestions. She doesn't necessarily address any issues herself, but she can sometimes pester those who can do something about the issues until they cave and do it just to get her off their backs.

Knowing the gossip helps her justify her powerful self-confidence. Since she holds herself to such a high esteem, she does not belittle those around her. She is actually very generous and gracious, believing that she is so blessed with her own eminence that she wants others to embrace their own greatness, no matter how little it is in comparison to hers. She does not point out the weaknesses of her fellow clan members, but she is definitely gifted with the insight of dragons and their personalities to be able to tell what their weaknesses are within one conversation with them. She doesn't even need to talk with them directly, she can just overhear a conversation and know the weaknesses of the dragons involved.

Her biggest dream is for everyone to reach their fullest potential, and she often manipulates those around her into moving towards their potentials. Her ideal world is without conflict where everyone is in perfect harmony with each other and doing what they're good at that also makes them happy. It's a very unlikely dream, but she does not acknowledge that it may never happen.

Once, when she was young, she lost her pearl. The situation grew so bad that not only was she nearly ostracized from the Pearlcatcher society, but her parents nearly were, too. They valued her so highly, they were willing to leave with her. Their sacrifice touched her so much, she tears up when she sees similar scenes, especially between parents and hatchlings, and she secretly wants to have that kind of connection with someone someday, but her standards are so high, it seems unlikely she will find that dragon meant for her. They were not ostracized because her pearl had been stolen by another Pearlcatcher youth who was jealous of the smooth, perfect shape of Charoite's pearl. To this day, though, she keeps obsessively-close track of her pearl, sometimes even tying it to her body securely so she can perform her duties without setting the precious sphere down.

Familiar: Darlingm, Petalwing Peryton
Darling is Charoite's precious widdle pookie-kins. She is one spoiled Petalwing Peryton, often receiving the brunt of Charoite's efforts to help those around her reach their true potentials. Despite the spoiling, Darling is one sophisticated familiar. She is intelligent and often does whatever she can to help Charoite with her duties as a recorder, not above fetching what Charoite requests of her. She is often a peacekeeper among the familiars, keeping difficult personalities from clashing and nudging offended familiars around, either away from what offends them or towards what could help the familiar get over the offense.
