Biography
Silent - Keeps to himself - Sarcastic - Intolerant - Rather impatient - Stingy
The Healer AY-low-ith |
Vir sapit qui pauca loquitor
by shanncrafter He is a fantastic healer, to be sure, though his bedside manner leaves dragons much more afraid of going to the infirmary than leaving their wounds untreated. Be polite. He can be snarky, impatient, and frighteningly sarcastic (poor Polarlicht seems to be taking the brunt of this, these days), and there is only an oath and his word that keeps him from dumping itching powder in your cast if you irk him. Few forge friendships with him; those who do, however, know full well that he is loyal, dedicated, and speaks his mind when he wants to. Whether they know it or not, the clan has gained a valuable healer. While he does have his regrets, Stormcatcher willing, he will put those days behind him. Do try not to get on his bad side, because you will find yourself with a very snarky, very spiteful adversary (who just so happens to be a healer, of all dragons) on your hands. |
Aeloith had come from a Clan well-renowned for its healing and magic. While the specifics of his history are kept under lock and key by the Coatl himself, his knowledge and mastery of herbs and wounds have placed him in a fast position as the Clan's Healer.
Aeloith is small in size and tends to use this to his advantage - such as slipping between dragons and cracks in the rocks to avoid any sort of confrontation. He tends to keep to himself, and only Elliot and Eikre seem to understand the slight changes in his seemingly never changing expression - according to their translations, Aeloith has been sassing everyone in the Clan, even to their faces.
For someone so small, Aeloith is known for being a terror if one gets on his bad side - which is actually pretty easy. This kind of attitude has taught the dragons to take great care in not offending the only skilled healer they have, but a number do still poke and probe. Aeloith takes great care to ensure they feel even worse before being treated.
Aeloith had been one of the first dwellers of the Clan before House Galla was born, a budding Healer who was just beginning to bloom in his trade. Though he found joy in the small, ragtag family, he'd eventually left, promising to return to them and offer his services once he'd mastered his craft to better serve them.
He'd settled in a small village where its citizens did little to annoy him, save for a quirky Pearlcatcher, Eikre, who was the local alchemist. Although Aeloith expressed his disdain for him, Eikre persisted, and soon Aeloith grumpy tolerance grew into a snarky, warm friendship.
They learned much from each other, and their skills had made them quite popular soon after. It was due to this that an envoy had been sent to them, calling them to Prince Voltaire's domain and offered a place in their ranks inexchange for their services. Although reluctant, Aeloith had accepted once Eikre's enthusiasm won him over (it didn't take much).
