B I O G R A P H Y
Quartz enjoys gossiping endlessly with the Nest Mothers. He knows everything juicy going on in the clan, like how Aurora dyes her fur, and it's rumored that Icy has an extra toe! These things are very obviously false, but Quartz likes to believe them. He had always been this way; constantly sticking his ear in every conversation he could reach... his own reputation falling off a bridge by his antics. The Nest Mothers, very patient and soothing and having nothing better to do...and of course, they had to get their daily checkups(by him)! agreeably gossiped with him, on everything to anything. This was typically the caretakers, as the mothers only lingered over the nests for a mere five days; he was great friends with them. One friend was Aurora. She had used to be a caretaker before her heart had taken her to the stylists, and she had succeeded their role when it was recognized her job was much better than the original. She designed apparel, always knowing what would best highlight the eyes...or contrast the scales to a likeable ratio. She could make dragons beautiful- or at least beautiful- for Windsinger's sake. There was nothing bad about her, it seemed. At the time he met her, she had still been, formally, a caretaker, though she secretly received education about being a stylist; at least she had her wishes now. Quartz thought her endearing, she thought him goofy.. they were perfect together, fire balancing fire, the few contrasts they had challenges the opposition tried to overcome.

B I O G R A P H Y
It was a bright early morning when he received the most shocking news of all- supposedly the clan's queen, Icy, had six toes! Five was the typical of course...and furthermore, in their clan of birdskulls, where each color meant a specific rank, everything was expected to be orderly. They had expected Icy to cut off the extra toe! How dare they be so dishonorable? He was scandalized. And this perhaps moved him to join with the opposition- the rebellion against Icy's leadership. His passion for the rebellion grew. He would be out nights at a time, coming back in the morning with dark shadows beneath his eyes but a satisfied smile. Aurora warned him constantly not to get too involved, that if they were discovered, they could be in big trouble. But he could not help himself- it was too exciting, being there with the others, doing whatever he liked, getting his own freedoms. He knew Icy did allow some things, and her restrictions only limited few, like those with traditional lineages, but that didn't mean he couldn't despise her. And her extra toe! Terrible! He had never gotten too close to her to see it...but he knew it was there..and besides, he didn't know which leg it was on.

The rebellion was at a standstill for a while; a month, or so. He was saddened. He wanted it to continue desperately; he felt he could not take it any longer, always wanting that exciting adrenaline again. The boredoms of life sank upon him, the kind he had been dreading. Aurora was relieved he was not interacting with them anymore. But he was dissatisfied. His passion grew by the minute. Finally the rebellion returned. He joined their first meeting, hearing all the prospects they had come up with during standstill. So many things he encountered, he instantly forgave the leader for halting. The plans were complex- they involved great trickery, like childhood pranks; great fun. He was childish and longing for adventure in this way, so he firstly volunteered to be a member in helping disarm Icy. After they stole all the weaponry, they would easily take control with a few threats. However...it was easier said than done. They had gone on multiple missions, only to be dissatisfied. He had confidence however..
