Lumen Lux
Head of the Rusted Caravan

A flighty and nervous Fae, Lumen leaves most of the talking to his son Crux, and most of the fighting to his wife Candela. It takes him a while to warm upto most people and dragons, though he's generally friendly enough, just a bit cautious. The promise of something interesting to tinker with is usually enough to pull him out of his shell though, Lumen practically jumps at the opportunity to work with anything clockwork or mechanical.

Once he does open up though, its hard to get this fae to stop talking about whatever has recently caught his interest, be it a new project he's working on, or tales of the places he's been, Lumen can be quite the chatter box once he's comfortable enough. Sometimes if he's in a particularly spectacular mood he might even play a tune on his lute.

History
Long Long ago

A bright young technician from the spire, Lumen had quite a few options for employment after his internship, but he chose to co-found a company in the scrublands with his then friend Selene. The two managed to work together for a short while before falling into near constant bickering about the direction the company would go in: Selene wanted to make weapons and automations for Lightning's dominance efforts, while Lumen hated the idea of fueling the war efforts. Most of these fights Selene won, the tundra being much more stubborn and Lumen buckling quickly whenever she showed frustration.

Shortly after the company's move to Carrion Canyon one of their employees would find a dehydrated and lost Candela while scavaging, bringing the mirror back to their little hole in the wall to recuperate. The two would hit it off. With her support he finally felt brave enough to confront Selene and stand his ground over the direction Chromatic Engineering was going in. The three had to be pulled apart after the argument turned violent, and Lumen left with Candela- never to return again.

The two have spent the next several years wandering Sornieth together, eventually obtaining and fixing up an old wagon to create The Rusted Caravan. They transport and sell all manners of things, from interesting trinkets and small automation to crates of raw or scrap materials. Pulled along by a pair of strange, mechanical horses they can make decent time across the continent despite hauling quite a lot of supplies.
