Esten is considered the defacto leader by the members of the clan of Vri'i, due to being the co founder alongside her mate, Fey. Proud and inconsistent, the Pearlcatcher is prone to mood swings and general indecisiveness which has leaked time and time again into their ruling. Being one of the many clan leaders within the Terraclae, she and her Gaoler partner often can be seen simply relaxing and talking with the other leaders within the bustling quarry city. She holds herself in incredibly high regard, having founded the clan she 'runs' and doesn't take lightly to insults in any way, despite being a horrible leader.

Her pride blinded her so much in fact, that when the clan seemingly became self sufficient Esten paid it no mind, since it resulted in her not being bothered as much by the builders who would need guidance on where and when to expand. It was so nice, in fact, that she didn't realized that Kushad was the one that they kept going to until Kushad themselves began to exhaust. Once being contacted again about clan matters, it became even more of a chore since it resulted in constant questions that took time out of her day.

Of course, her day was full of nothing but pompous nonsense and relaxing with her partner, but regardless, she's been shooing away those with questions and forcing them to do things of their own accord; sometimes resulting in her fury thanks to them not being able to read her mind. With no way to confirm what to do next, the builders and other dragons were left occasionally milling about, being belittled by her whenever Esten got the chance to torment them for bothering the Pearlcatcher or even making it seem like there was something wrong in front of the other leaders.
