Skordran

Skordran heard his named called. He looked around until he saw his old friends.
"Marduk! Tanith!" He called back, as the friends made their way to each other.
Clasping hands  Skordran said, "Really good to see you two. You're looking well.  But, what was your message all about? All you said was to meet you here."
"Well, you told us, as we left, that if we found the perfect situation to come find you." Marduk started.
"So, we have." Tanith put in smiling.
The three began walking so not to block the busy market.
Skordran Nodded to a table were two Tundras had just left.
"So, you've found the perfect place, huh? " Skordran said  unconvinced as they all sat.
A waitress approached, took their orders, then cheerfully returned to the kitchen counter.
As they waited for their lunches, Marduk filled  Skordran  in on Clan Inverness and Lulungomeena Island.
"Over fifty masters? Plus Longneck and centaur troops?" He whistled. "Thats' hard to imagine."
"It's true and a Maren tribe patrolling the waters around the island." reported Marduk.
"And the best part is that they are so spread out over the island that you will not feel crowded."
"What do you mean 'I' will not feel crowded?" He smiled already knowing what Tanith meant.
"Dran, you really need to see the place."
"We've already mentioned you to our commander. We are part of a small garrison on the coast." Marduk added. "He said that if we thought you were Inverness material, he would back your application to Diath, our chieftain. Now, to be honest, it would be less pay."
"But, nearly everything is supplied by the clan. we only need to pay for any extra items we may want."
"And the pay does cover that nicely."
"I don't know guys. I have it kind of good where I'm at. Good pay, good position. I command a small unit now. You know?”
"Unit of what? low level grunts that will cause you more trouble than good in a battle? The nearest town to our outpost has ten master level dragons and it's the smallest of the towns. Ten."
"Well?" Skordran considered.
"Come on what do you have to lose?" Tanith prodded. "Come back with us and visit if nothing else. But, I bet you'll love the place."
The lunch arrived.
"Alright, I'll come see. But, until then, let's eat."
