MUDSPLATTER HEALER › BELOVED › FRIEND | MATE |

They say Arcane is the flight of Science. And medicine is a science, is it not? Mudsplatter grew up in a family of medical dragons, though he is considered the only healer so far. His soft-hearted attitude was early on seen as a weakness, but as the then young dragon boldly volunteered to help out in some dragon wars, they truly began to value his careful calculations and working of chemicals he employed in his job. It was in one of these battles that the dragon met Darius, his future mate. Initially brought to his attention by his nasty wounds, Muddy (as his nickname goes) managed to calm the dragon as he did his clever treatments, becoming quickly familiar with Darius' being- feisty, strong, logical yet irrational, and found himself quite a nice dragon. The two got on surprisingly well: they were friends in no time. Friendship with a dragon who isolates himself is hard, but it's clear Mudsplatter somehow broke through that barrier. We still don’t know how. |
Secretly, Muddy found his relationship with the other grow. He suspected that one of them was the other's charge- though as soon as Darius heard of this theory, he explained that he had found his charge. The lack of a charge at that moment gave way to another theory- Darius had failed his charge. Insanity was suspected for Darius, now near confirmed. Yet Muddy was resolute: he would protect Darius. Whatever the bond between them was, the loyalty Muddy felt was too overwhelming. Even as the war was ending, defeat upon them, Muddy would stay with Darius. Writing a letter to his parents was the final connection with them, before he joined Darius back to Clan Draco Malfoy, who were very much accepting. He already liked his new home, though it was never as good as before. Still, he adapted, and now visits Darius daily, each time, onlookers looking with happiness, for Darius seemed untouchable, but Mudsplatter was proving them all wrong. |
