Tribute

Tribute was taken was by the lair as hatchling by mistake. Little was known about her past, as upon questioning it seemed the little skydancer had no memory besides a name. The only known source was that she had washed up upon the shores, quickly brought to the lair by Eirene.
Tribute was a shy, sickly hatchling, spending much of her time observing the others.
As she grew, her memories began returning to her.

Tribute was born in a foreign lair of the Hewn City, shipped off before she could barely even utter her first noise. She watched as her siblings were quickly grabbed up. Her sisters were first- going to an unknown location. Last came she and her brother, planned to be fodder. There are still parts of the past the young dragon did not remember, but she does remember breaking free. the pain she felt in her heart as she ran away, only to realize that her brother hadn't followed.
It was after that that the skydancer hatchling had traveled away, intending on starting a new life elsewhere. But troubled followed, and she found herself face to face with a large gorge, blocking her path. She tried to clear it, trusting herself that she was old enough to fly, but toppled into the freezing water chasm below. She was lucky to have made it, as not long after she washed onto the icy shores of the southern ice-field, nearly frozen to death. how she had managed to travel such a distance and lived was a pure miracle, and she was saved by the very lair she resided in now.
Knowing her past made Tribute even more grateful to the lair that had accepted her in. She knows now that Tribute is not her true name, but out of respect, as well as the memory, has decided to keep it as it is.
