Biography
Beastclans have been known to "find" eggs and take them back to their dens, but most dragons simply assume that they take them to eat them or destroy them. Few might even guess that they are taking them to form a dragon army loyal to their cause. No one would have anticipated what happened to this wayward egg.
The dragon was raised among the avians on the outskirts of the Reedcleft Ascent, a hunter to blend in among the other Raptorik, who played across the Savannah's shifting grasses and hunted lesser clans. He was raised to be fearless on the ground and in the air. And he was taught how to be fast, cunning, and protective.
Uniquely spotted, this dragon gave birth to a new legend, one of the Gryphon. He wasn't quite a dragon, but more like a bird or cat as he looked. He grew strong and swifter than any other on the ground. In the air, none could challenge the speed of his stoop. And, unlike many other dragons, he was feral to those not of the Talenok, a truly bloodied warrior.
So, when dragons came to his lands and overwhelmed his clan, he fell last and hard. The clan was broken, but it was not for their lack of strength or ferocity. Many dragons suffered death or permanent injury in the long battle. The leader of the dragon army left the Gryphon to die of his wounds, he could not be taken into the fold, that much was clear, but he wouldn't kill another dragon. His mercy, however, was misplaced. The Gryphon recovered, slowly, and left his lands, but he only grew in strength.
Now he wanders the Sunbeam Ruins, looking for a clan to protect.
