Expands lair, finds treasure, and appraises gems What do you mean stop digging Geodean joined in Clan Violat when it was truly no more than a few stragglers huddled together in a small outcrop on the Crystalspine Reaches. Though their small plateau had begun to get more and more crowded, no other dragon had yet taken responsibility for lair expansion. Mining the Reaches for crystal was already tradition for fledgling clans, but the matron, Aurora, was too caught up in adjusting to the land and taking new dragons under her wing. Originally a Nature dragon, Geodean had grown up digging in the gardens with his mother. Being her firstborn, Tacca cared for him greatly and often took him on her gathering expeditions where he would dig for roots and plants, often reveling in any shiny stones and pebbles he could get his claws on. Often he would slip them into his mother's carrying pouches with a bundle of flowers and tubers, hoping she wouldn't notice. His favorite stones, besides the usual ones that glimmered in the right lighting, became the hidden treasures that were geodes. He felt that no dragon could ever feel as connected to a rock as he was to geodes. Plain on the outside, but inside bursting with color and glitter and majesty. He carried this love to his new clan, slightly abashed. Nature dragons were supposed to care about the life above the soil, not below it. Despite this, he took it upon himself to make the first move towards expansion. From the outside, the Reaches appeared dull, worn by the wind, salt water, and tramping of paws, claws, and feet. When he first dug his claws into the soft crystal, he found nothing special or compelling about it, only concerned with gaining open space for himself and his clanmates. When the first chunk crumbled, revealing its true glittering beauty, Geodean felt a new love blooming inside of him.
