Biography

The Canopydancer subspecies are descendants of a canopy Quietclaw named Oak and the wandering forest spirit that enchants him, Cedar.

Their offspring couldn't be further from Oak's reclusive, cautious Quietclaw personality- they instead inherit a playful carelessness, darting up trunks and gliding across the canopies from tree to tree.

Hatchling Canopydancers are raised from birth playing chasing games such as this, and become experts at navigating heavy foliage at high speeds. No other species of dragon can cover miles of thick forest undetected as quickly and effortlessly as Canopydancers, their green-toned wings and the crowns of trees camouflaging every movement from above. They have excellent spatial awareness and instincts, able to tuck their wings and dive through incredibly small openings.

Lichen Canopydancer: These Canopydancers develop a thick coverage of lichen on their bodies. A nest that births a lichen offspring is considered a blessed nest, as lichen is considered to be a gift from the Gladekeeper. Lichens are known for their energetic nature and constant laughter.
