The daughter of Lorkess, Lyriss is named after her famed grandmother, and is a member of one of the most influential bloodlines in the clan. Despite this, however, very few dragons can actually claim to know Lyress particularly well; even her own mother sometimes gets the feeling that she is seeing only the part of the picture going on with her. Outwardly Lyriss is cordial, rarely unpolite, and not prone to playing tricks or pranks or getting into fights. She occupies much of her time holding her post on the clan's council, as the current appointee for ambassadorial matters.

Outside of her family, she spends most of her time in the company of the Matriarch's flighty consort, Vikarios, running errands for the clan and sometimes investigating minor matters. Thanks to her lineage she sometimes accompanies clan dignitaries or diplomatic envoys, and has been known to venture to other clans on purely frivolous exploration trips.
