BIOGRAPHY
Secondborn of Sarin and Soman and their first daughter, hopes were high for Iris and what she would become. She grew up on tales of their pasts and what had become of them, and as she aged, she began to display a very unnerving trait - poisonous saliva. Though her family was immune, it made other dragons very ill, with a high potential of killing in larger doses. Sarin and Soman prayed their child could overcome her genetic mutation, passed down from her father.
And she did - by becoming an assassin. Iris sees the world very simply. There are those who are good and just and pure of heart, and there are those who are wicked and twisted and dark down to their souls. Her job, as she sees it, is to exterminate them - be the lesser of two evils by destroying the greater. Her poisonous trait only aids her in this endeavor and has made her a very dangerous enemy to have. It’s all too easy to slip a little saliva into food, or onto a door handle, or the tip of an arrow. Most dragons don’t know what she does for a living, and Iris prefers it that way. An assassin who is open about their profession is a bad assassin, she thinks. She fronts as a bartender, an easy cover for a dragon with an ability like hers. Sometimes a hit is as simple as serving the right drink. Are her parents proud? Not exactly. But she does it for them, to rid the world of the kinds of dragons who hurt them. Maybe they should be more thankful. |
