Biography
clan astrologist, will tell you All About It whether you asked or not. f*cking berserker. complete dumb*ss. screaming constantly. irredeemable kleptomaniac and magpie-like; would make a fool of herself to steal anything shiny, even if it turns out to be, like, a discarded staple.
an egg found during scavenging & raised by the clan, as many of her siblings were. from a young age, dear Drear was considered "a handful" and would be passed from adult to adult in desperate bids to keep her entertained and out of everyone else's business. without fail, she caused some kind of commotion or ordeal with each one.
in creche, she distracted and upset the other hatchlings. with the beastkeeper, she caused a stampede. as a gardener, she trampled plants. as a cook, she broke almost every dish she tried to carry. she was too noisy and fidgety to be of any use as a hunter, and her presence in the mines precipitated an almost-fatal disaster. she simply didn't have the patience for detailed crafts, like leatherwork. surprisingly, she did very well with the blacksmith, but found that smithing wasn't where her passions truly lay.
in the early times, Rigel was one of a very small handful of adult dragons who could stand to be around Drear. his stoicism was a stark contrast to her energy, but he seemed to ground her and calm her down in a sense. he never grew frustrated with her as the other dragons did, not even when she made terrible mistakes. he just seemed to accept that it wasn't for her. as the finder of her egg, he encouraged D towards activities that would keep her at the bottom of the mountain, but he knew it was only a matter of time before she met Odessa.
