Biography

KEEPER of TRUTH
CELESTIAL KEEPERS
xRvKc39.pngxRvKc39.pngxRvKc39.png

In their preliminary sweep of the Spire to become the new home of the Empire and Squalltamer clans, both expedition groups came across a dragon of almost blinding light. Perched in the highest alcove of the Spire, right before the structure evened off into a point, sat Uriel, wings folded in front of himself as if he were sleeping. Which, strangely, he was. He could not say how long he had been asleep, only that it felt like much had changed. Dusty, ancient scrolls in tongues not even the wisest dragons could read littered the floor. This room, with Uriel's blessing, would become the Empire's Grand Library.

Quiet and reclusive, Uriel did not stay for long. Shortly after the clans moved in he took off, disappearing for some months. When he returned, he was now accompanied by a large, feathered Imperial. While they did not ask to make a nest, the clan heads agreed it was the right thing to do.

Thus, the pair have been there ever since, tending to their nest and children, never saying much to anyone else or anything.

Lyrith appears to be a formidable dragon adorned in black feathers and a beak-like bird mask. While presumably Uriel’s mate, the evidence is in their hatchlings and private, affectionate displays towards one another. When one of them does speak, it is often Lyrial doing the talking on his partner’s behalf. He also seems to converse rather frequently with a flock of ravens that nest just outside the Spire, the clan often seeing the little birds come and go with what could only be described as…purpose.

HEIR
While not a true heir to any sort of land or throne, Caveat still takes after Uriel’s light. He records the unseen mutterings of his father as well as anything else his siblings have to say, the young dragon keeping it sealed away in his large tome.

The Celestial Keepers do not appear to act entirely like dragons. Of course they nest and hunt and breed, as all dragons do, but they are…different. There is wisdom in their quiet eyes and a greater sense of knowing about them. They come and go as they please and seemingly with the greatest of intent. There are others out there, certainly – the Empire just hasn’t stumbled upon them yet.
