Biography

HIBISCEA
"Don't you love the feel of the breeze on your scales?."

The day Hibescea was hatched was a bit different than other stories you might have heard. Instead of opening her eyes and seeing the faces of parents or siblings, she saw the sky.

It was a beautiful spring afternoon when Hibiscea opened her eyes for the first time. Her parents were away from the nest, and her siblings were still tucked away inside of their shells. After blinking away the blur caused by the light, her eyes were immediately drawn to the bright blue sky. It was so big... and the clouds were positioned perfectly as they helped to reflect rays of sunshine onto her scales. Just as she thought she might burst from the beauty of it all, a gentle breeze blew over the nest. It was at that moment Hibiscea knew where she wanted to be.

As time passed, she learned to fly. Soaring and dipping through the clouds was her favorite pastime. After all, why walk on the dirty ground when you were given wings by which to glide on the breeze? It was during one of her daily rounds that she noticed something shimmer below her. Gracefully gliding down to inspect the object, she was met by an older and much larger dragon. He smiled when she approached and gently extended a claw containing two silk ribbons. "These would look lovely trailing behind you as you fly, my dear." Hibiscea graciously accepted the gifts and flew off into the sky with the ribbons dancing behind her. It was at that exact moment that she knew what she wanted to do with her life. She wanted to show everyone the beauty of the flowing ribbons, and the joy of dancing in the air. Without a moment of hesitation, she set off to do just that.

"Such a talented young girl, the Windsinger mused to himself as he watched her disappear into the clouds...
