Biography
CrownedSiren found his home with his brother in this lair a long time ago. He found a home, a safe place for his family, and guidance from others who helped him grow stronger. Grow independent. Supported him. His life had known peace.
But peace doesn’t last, does it? On a hunting trek with his brother, they traveled too far, too deep. In a place where dragons too young should not travel ill prepared. Within The Sea of A Thousand Currents, he and his brother had swam into the Kelp Beds. Helplessly, he watched his brother get ambushed by marine warriors who sought to protect their home. He could not push through the waves fast enough, and could not stop the onslaught of spears and magic that torn his brother apart. He barely managed to escape, knowing his brother was lost.
He spent years fruitlessly trying to grow stronger- and he did. As time passed, so did his skill. He studied, and practiced, and learned to fight with all the mastery and grace that only comes with dedication to his craft. Honing himself until there was nothing more he could improve. But it didn’t feel like it was enough. There was still more he could do. He could not fail to protect his home the same way he failed to protect his brother.
In an attempt to break off of the Plateau found himself struggling on, he left. Many more years, traveling the across the known world. Gathering any information, magic, anything that could make him stronger. When there was nothing more he could ilk from his kind, he reached for the Gods’ attention. But Gods rarely do muddle in the mortal grievances of dragonkind, and did not notice his cries. When his call was not answered, he reached further. Into the night, into the dark. Off the edge of the world, and into the Shade.
When he returned home, he was changed. Nobody knows what happened and he won’t say. CrownedSiren keeps to himself now. The scent of the Shade and its taint is strong on him, so most of the others stay far away. Sometimes, you can find him staring into a deep, placid pool, mumbling at the reflection. His eyes stare right though it.
