Full Name: Winston (nicknamed "Smith" or "6079" by Nyra)

Personality: Winston is a very flat dragon, showing little emotion and even less personality. He was not always this way, of course; in fact, he was very lively and passionate when Nyra first encountered him. But that has since been long gone, and Winston is okay with that. He is essentially so broken by the testing that he essentially collapsed and gave up. Despite this fate, Winston's former personality does occasionally show up, but such moments are very rare and are generally witnessed by nobody.

Orientation: Heterosexual/Heteroflexible

Relationship Status: Formerly taken by Julia, but was forced to be separated from her after Nyra considered her a "bad influence" on him.

Familiar: Syme the Lighting Spirit. Named after a dragon that Winston knew for a short amount of time, the familiar is Winston's only true reminder of the past and connection to the outside world. Once a major part of Winston's life, Winston has since neglected the familiar in favor of a more solitary approach to life. However, the familiar still lingers around Winston like a distant memory...

Reputation: Not many of the Sorexians know about Winston, since Nyra keeps him isolated from the rest of the Clan. However, there have been rumors of "Nyra's subject" floating throughout the Clan, which has caused quite a stir, but Nyra's imposing attitude prevents anyone from daring to confirm or deny the allegations. As for Winston's relationship with Nyra, it is complicated. Winston sees Nyra as a caretaker and a surrogate mother, but he also fears her cruelty and instinctively flinches whenever she approaches him. Nyra, on the other hand, normally treats him coolly at best and horribly at worst; however, she occasionally expresses kindness towards Winston, although that happens very rarely.

Backstory: Winston was born in the Ice flight, but he was taken in by Nyra when he was just a few hours old, so he does not remember anything before the Sorexians. Nyra, the leader of the Entourage, planned to use him as an experiment; she wanted to make him the perfect subject of Lady, one that would follow her policies without question and one that was only loyal to her. From a young age, Winston was taught that rebels deserved to be crushed without mercy and that a strong rule was necessary to prevent chaos from forming in the Clan. Winston, not knowing anything else, took this up with ease at first, but he started to question Nyra's teachings after he started to sneak off to the scholars' hub and read some of their more radical writings. He, however, said nothing of his new doubts, since he was taught by Nyra that doubt was a bad feeling and should be ignored at all costs. The Fae eventually fell in love with an actively rebellious Mirror named Julia, and the two had a brief and passionate romance. Under Julia's influence, Winston became more actively rebellious, and the two promised to never betray each other in their quest to overthrow Lady and the Entourage. However, the Entourage had been keeping their eye on Julia for some time, and once Nyra found about Winston's relationship with her, she separated Julia from him and tortured her until the Mirror broke her vow with Winston. Winston knew nothing of the Mirror's betrayal; he only knew that she was taken from him one day and never came back, and he thought that she was killed by Nyra (which was probably the case). Then, Nyra turned her attention to him and punished him severely for his attempted rebellion. The procedure itself was all a blur to Winston, but he remembered the result: he betrayed Julia when threatened by rats and pledged his complete loyalty to Lady and the Entourage shortly afterward. Everything he said was sincere; he forgot all those memories of rebellion and doubt and decided to start over, this time as a sincere subject just as Nyra wanted.
