Hugo

Hugo has always fancied himself the hero of the story, even from a young age. He’s spent quite a lot of time in my library with his nose in a book and even more time imagining himself as a dashing knight. I’ve found him on more than one occasion dashing about pretending to save a prince. When he’s not playing the noble knight he generally is following Arthfael around learning to be said knight. None of us can deny that Hugo knows exactly what he wants in his life; even if those goals seem a bit outlandish to some. He is noble, honest, and clever so no doubt he’ll go far as long as he holds on to his ambitions.

Dear Journal,
I went to go visit another clan. They were all super nice, and most of them were rather cute. Especially this guy that kept following me around, Liam. He’s a mage and I just want to squish him and protect him. Such a ball of adorable.

Dear Journal,
We were a-attacked today.

Here the handwriting switches to the carefully steady hand of Quill.
There was an attack by a band of roving Mirrors. They entered the library but Hugo managed to stop them. He saved my life... but the poor child was injured in the attack. Our beloved Hugo is now blind, and he’s not taking it very well. Arthfael is willing to help him work around his new disability but Hugo seems to have lost all of his drive to be a knight. It’s extremely disheartening to see our ball of sunshine now floating about the library like a lost ghost. If only I have been able to defend myself this never would have happened. This is my fault.

Hugo was injured and visited me, He ran into a wall before running into me. I can't lose my, friend. He seems depressed, so I keep reading him stories. I haven't noticed much of a change but he seems more, alive. I do hope I am helping. I only feel like I am making it worse for him. It hurts to see him like this. I hope he feels better soon. I can't let him fall apart. I want have to fix him.

Well I can sorta see now. I’m mostly blind but I can kinda see. The strangest thing though is I can see these red thread things.... tying everyone together. Mine leads to Liam. It's strange. Some are more knotted and tangled than others but generally I can see where there are. This is weird but it's okay.
