Biography

Mate: Theia

Grand child of Yona he gets insanely well with his granny, who has basically adopted him.

(17.3.2018) Thanks to his grandmother's pampering, spoiling and teaching, Almas grew up to be self-confident to the point of being cocky and proud. In his early adulthood he decided to become a world-recognized warrior like those in stories. Not aiming for generosity or justice he set out on his journeys through Sornieth. He left with nothing else but his overflowing confidence and was soon knocked down from his cloud castles. Fighting was very hard work and many teachers turned him away due to his attitude and any lack of inborn skill. His pride was beaten and he was unsure how to go on but damned if he went back home now! He would never hear the end of it.
He pressed on towards Windswept plateau. He found himself a teacher, who promised to try and teach him the way of sword, if acquired one first. He hadn't hoped to get a sword in his hands but it was better than nothing. His new teacher gave him a list of materials needed for the sword and the whereabouts of the smith. His first task was to convince the smith he was worthy of the sword by presenting the materials to him. The list included sturdy silk from a certain beastclan of the Shrieking wilds, poplar wood of the Sunbeam ruins, honoki wood from the border between wind and water domains and his own choise for a special iron from the mines of Molten scar.

(17.3.2018) Almas decided to start from the most difficult and exhausting task - mining. He enrolled to a small mining guild, which was pleased to have imperial as a carrier. Nobody wanted to be a carrier so he could easily slip from one guild into a bigger one and learn the ways of mining. Eventually he stayed in guild situated on the outskirts of Molten scar, in a small dirty city. The place wasn't glorious but now he could get his hands on anything. He studied to recognize metals and when ever he had a chance, slipped some in his own pocket. He kept his stealing to a minimum so that wouldn't be noticed. When he had time off he dug in neutral grounds.
The way to the neutral grounds was loner than he had hoped and he was more than once driven into hiding by storms and patrolling dragons. Few confrontations were inevitable. He found shelter from storm in a temple that was dug into a small dead volcano. It was bleak and all in all repugnant with all the dust floating around. He thought it was abandoned but in the corner of his eye he saw a figure. When he turned to look he saw a glimpse of a tail. He had to be in full strength the next morning so he didn't pursue now.
He asked around of the place. Some answered with confusion, they had never heard of such place, others shushed him, the place was cursed and guarded by a monster. He wasn't going to believe that and since he got no help from his co-workers he would find out himself what the place was all about.
He mapped the corridors and halls little by little calling for anyone in there with him. It took weeks, probably months to find a room that made sense. A large room with long tables set in a controlled chaos and high arch ceiling. He inspected the place but couldn't find signs of life. He was frustrated. He knew there was someone in there! In his anger he swooped few cups of the table, slamming them into a wall. The clatter wasn't satisfying his anger. He grabbed a chair and hurled it to the same pile. He was about to do more but saw a figure emerge from a corridor. It was a tundra. Her fur was almost the same hue as the dust around and he just knew that she was the feared monster, the temple-keep.
Almas wasn't blind, there was something off with the temple-keep. Her eyes were dull, almost dead when he first saw her, then regained some of their former life when he challenged her reasoning for guarding this temple. It happened more than once and now he had to admit, it was a curse. A first ever curse he believed in. He set his mind to freeing the female. He didn't want her to stay in this dusty place. It was nasty on many levels and there was no way she was happy here.
Months passed. Almas taught Temple to eat and drink again. They walked the corridors together and Almas started to see changes in the tundra. Her eyes regained their life, the food and water were starting to stay in and she started to leave footprints in the dust. Her vocabulary diminished and her health declined. He was certain he wasn't doing anything wrong and it was just a side effect of the curse lifting.
Months went by again. It had now been three years since he arrived to Ashfall Waste and almost four and a half years since he left home. To celebrate the anniversary and the recovery of Temple he decided it was time to leave. He had pursued her on the matter and it seemed it was a good time. He had collected enough Uridium - a highly corrosion resistant, strong but yielding metal, which shone in hues of gold and brilliant white - and was leaving the wastes. He declared to Temple it was time to leave. The temple she had guarded had started to crumble and it wasn't healthy in the first place to stay there. She was afraid of the world outside as she knew nor remembered nothing of it. An argument broke out. Temple was upset, almost hyperventilating, tears forming in her eyes. Almas was having none of that. He grabbed the tundra with him and carried the squirming female out. The moment the last hair of her was out a rumble echoed from the temple and the walls came crashing down. A clloud of thick dust shot out the door after them.
"See!? I told you it was a matter of time! You'd be dead without me," he coughed from the cloud.

(18.3.2018) Almas travelled with Temple all across Sornieth to find the missing materials. During the search they grew closer. He presented the materials to the smith, who had conveniently cpme visit the master the same time Almas did. The materials pleased him very much. The glint in his eyes said it all and Almas heard him say to the master - tho it certainly was supposed to not be heard by him - that he was a promising youth if he was determined enough to aquire so high quality materials. He came home to wait for the sword's finishing. A courier brought it him with an invitattion to lessons under the master's supervision. He visits the master regularly and has improved a lot even he is not a natural by any means
