Krista is usually very shy, kind, and uncertain on how to interact with others. However, a few other Dragons have noted that Krista’s urge to show kindness to others stems not only from a desire to gain their esteem, but also that of the Dragons around her: to be seen as a good female. This likely stems from her having been denied the esteem of others as a hatchling and being raised to believe that she was an unfortunate mistake.

After her abandonment by her original Clan, although she was technically bought, Krista loses the hope that the revelation of her name seemed to produce in her. She regressed into a vapid disinterest in anything going on around her, unsure of how to act. She states that while the persona Krista the Guardian Mother is a kind and deeply caring female, the real Krista is vacant inside.

However, during the time she constantly spends with the young hatchlings and the eggs that need rotating, Krista begins to slowly believe in herself and develop strength, such as defying any intruder access to the young Dragons that are under her care.
Meaning of Krista:

Krista is a female given name, a mostly North European (Estonia, Finland and Sweden) variant of the male name Christian. The name Krista can be spelled with a "Ch". It is a variation of Christ, and means, "Follower of Christ".
