When Hubble hatched in the twilight tracts of the Tangled Woods, he was privy to a rare sight in the lands of the Shadowbinder: the stars. The land's mist had thinned in one spot just enough for some faint starlight to come through. Then nameless, Hubble was marked for life.

Quiet and unseen, Hubble kept watch in his home, listening to boasts and tales and tricks, learning to remain out of the way, until driven out from his home by lair mates who considered him a perfect target for their pranks. Exhausted, he flew on and out until he reached the edge of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and was once again enthralled by the sight of the stars. He remained at the sea's edge for several nights, watching the stars wheel and set tirelessly, until he was found by Nebula, who in a single glance knew him intimately, and invited him back to Clan Raire, where her clout and power would see him protected.

Once there, he remained as unobtrusive as possible, only peeking out or talking with others when it came to food, stars, and Nebula. It was only when he came to explore the library that he discovered Astronomy and his natural passion for it, and he trained to watch and study the heavens, keeping records for the Librarian and keeping track of any significant celestial events.

Still meek, Hubble is more likely to shrink and curl himself down to take up less space when meeting new faces, and has an unfortunate tendency to obey anyone who gives him orders, but his quiet world has become more stable, and his quiet presence part of the clan's life.
