Sometimes she talks with the viper, but she never remembers what he (she knows the viper is a he, somehow) said when morning comes. Sometimes the viper seems more like a memory.
"Let's make a trade," he says. In these dreams, the silks slips off, but she can't remember what was hidden there.

There are two things every child of the Rosewood is taught.
The first is how to defend themselves, using tooth and claw and magic to carve their name into the world, bloody and thrashing. Each and every dragon is run through the same drills tirelessly until they prove sufficiently competent, and each dragon is left in the Rosewood for a night on their own to prove their skill. Those who were weak do not survive.
The second, perhaps even more critically, is devotion to the Plaguebringer. Even dragons who may eventually leave the Wastelands are given the same vicious lessons in devotion. To turn one's back on their Goddess is the ultimate shame, and those who prove faithless are either forced out or forced to believe if they wish to stay alive among Anaimia's soldiers.
She's generally unassuming, with a wide smile and kind eyes. Her appearance is disarming and most assume she's an airy, frivolous sort. It's an image she happily cultivates, as it means others let her get close without being careful, and within arm's length of another is where her work is truly done. Specializing in pickpocketing and stealing, dragons often find their pockets much lighter after she's been through.
