Runes INVOKED

Illyn comes from a lost story of a knight of the same name who sought to balance every life he took with a kind deed. The knight died in poverty after he killed five hundred men in a battle, and gave away all his gold to their families in repentance.
Illyn is able to perceive imbalances in dragons' energies as a result of dark deeds, or even just invocation. He helps restore balance by analyzing their memories and emotions and offering solutions. He can be especially useful for noticing dragons who deny they cannot control their runes and do not seek out help themselves. However, he is unable to manipulate energies himself as Subject #5100 [Moonstream] does. He's especially good at life coaching, though! More stubborn dragons who seek to prove their worth and uphold a reputation may turn to Illyn instead of Moonstream for assistance.
Much like his knightly namesake, Illyn travels for most of the year, only spending time at his home during the colder winter months. Traveling allows him to visit as many Runecatchers as possible to offer his help should they need it.
One wonders if there is more to Illyn's powers than it appears, considering his runes are invoked. But Illyn is a strong believer in dragons who need help doing the real work themselves, he's only interested in offering guidance. Builds character, he says. He has denied any hidden abilities - if there are any, he is hiding them well.
