Haruto

The name Haruto given to me by my owner means.

From Japanese 陽 (haru) meaning "light, sun, male", 遥 (haru) meaning "distant, remote" or 晴 (haru) meaning "clear weather" combined with 斗 (to), which refers to a Chinese constellation, or 翔 (to) meaning "soar, fly".

I'm part of an ongoing Role Play between my owner and her girlfriend Prisym, and this is my backstory for that role play.

I was born at the end of summer in a thick forest with a huge river flowing right through the middle of it. My parents were hunted down and murdered by a couple slayers that had tracked my parents down during a food run. Spending the end of every summer gathering food for the winter my parents were out one day as usual but didn't return at sun fall like they always did. Being worried I set out following their scent, which was unusually stronger than normal. Rushing through the forest I eventually could begin to hear the roars and screeches from my parents in the middle of a fight. Keeping out of sight I could only watch as my father fought to protect my mother the best he could, being speared to the ground I then stepped out into the clearing. My mother saw me trying to come help and signaled for me to stay back, I was always obedient and followed what my parents told me to do.

My body was was heavy the whole run back to our cave, I truly didn't want to leave them like that. But what could a baby dragon like me have done to save them? If my parents were taken down by them then I was sure to suffer the same fate. Being alone after that I stayed in the cave my parents had dug out before I was born, their smells still linger in the cave comforting me when I sleep. The next couple years were long and lonely as I had to adjust to not having my parents there with me. Just as I came to accept my loneliness I was taking a trip to the river for a drink during a winter blizzard when I came across a creature I hadn't seen since my parent's murder. A young boy nearly froze to death just by the riverside. He wouldn't have lasted another minute in the snow with that fragile human skin he had. Scooping him onto my back I then took him back to my cave where I then huddled him between my body and my wing where he could dethaw.

Luckily I had found him in time and saved his life, I spent the whole time questioning why I had saved him after witnessing what humans did to my parents. Who never hurt a human before, nor ever had the desire to do so. The next day the boy woke up and instead of fleeing the cave in fear the boy stayed and began talking to me. My parents had always told me that humans cannot understand us unless they were a special kind of human. The young boy was a Dragonheart who introduced himself as Taifu Fuyuu, he also explained what happened to him the lead to why he was there in the frozen forest. He too was alone in the world like I was, despite him being a human I wanted to be around him.

A couple years after I saved his life we connected our souls and set out into the world to create our own life path. Taifu and I decided to make the whole earth our home and travel the lands, we desired nothing else in this world but each other. Sure we got into mischief and caused some trouble here and there but we never hurt anyone or tried to damage any villages. Not being accepted by humans it is hard for us to walk into a village much less move into one and live. So we live day by day and do whatever we need to survive and be happy doing what we do. Running from the law and slayers Taifu and I have become quite known throughout the lands as the most wanted Thieves.
