ABOUT.
The spitting image of her father, the same lithe body and handsome face, the same eyes twined into red. It unnerved him at first, but he was protective; more than he ever was with any of the others, something about the idea of being able to protect his younger self, perhaps. She never looked to read into it too hard, not at the time; she pulled at the leash regardless, freedom beckoned after all and there was just so much to do, so much she could do! Why would she follow her old man's instructions to stay put when she could explore?

It wasn't as conclusive as the past, not as what happened to him; her family swooped in over and over before she could get herself into trouble, or, too much trouble to get out of. Forever enamoured with the idea of knighthood, of paladins and their holy quests, of righteous causes and helping the helpless. She turned her nose up at the thievery in her blood and instead earned coin the old fashioned way, the pure way, helping with favours for strangers until she could buy her own armour and sword. She would prove she could do this and didn't need the leash, didn't need to be watched like a child. Despite the worry it brought about, as soon as she came into adulthood she made off on her own, ready to explore.
