Biography

Clan Physician

Being raised in the heart of disease and disorder in the sickness-infested boneyards of the Scarred Wasteland made for excellent medical practice. As a hatchling, he turned his back on the spreading of ills and found greater interest in how to mend them. It was like a new puzzle, one his siblings could not take from him or finish without his help. The young dragon became quickly empowered and set out alone in his adolescence. Cardinal learned to fix bone, flesh, muscle, scale, hide and feather...anything he could mend during his unquenchable thirst for learning.
His desires to hone his skill took him out of the Wasteland and into the rivaling Viridian Labyrinth, where poisonous plants and toxic creatures began to build his repertoire. From there he was free to branch out further, flying to sights both odd and nauseating, turning no learning opportunity aside.
When he had learned enough to content himself, and fix what fell before him, he closed out his learning years and set to work practicing medicine full-time.

Cardinal met Parhelion when the pair chanced upon the same, fish-laden section of a boiling-hot river, both in search of a meal and unwilling to share the spoils. A tremendous battle erupted between the two; gouges were taken out of the earth, flames seared over the terrain, and mighty wings shook the sky like thunder. The stubborn dragons fought to the point of exhaustion. It was there, both of them panting and lying on their sides, that they were able to strike up good conversation and come to know each other a bit better.
A friendship was forged on the riverbanks that day; Cardinal has kept a vigil over the Blood Forge clan ever since.

Though he will do everything in his power to keep his patients away from death's door, Cardinal has little tolerance for thrashing or screaming. This no-nonsense physician would sooner sedate than reassure. Burns are one of his favorite ailments to treat.
