That's curious, I wonder wh- LUMINAX WHAT DID YOU DO" Tech is a self styled inventor who knows what he's doing approximately 30% of the time. The icy area his newfound clan resides in provides him ample space to do whatever. He's friendly enough, but also fairly obsessive and a tad dramatic. He hasn't told anyone why he left his home for the Southern Icefield, but the other dragons rumour that it has something to do with an invention gone way wrong. Striker has allowed the coatl into her clan on the condition that he puts his brains to use on the group's behalf. Any data or information her scouts bring home is catalogued by Tech, who'll see if there's anything useful to be gathered from it. Tech is usually seen together with Luminax, a fellow lightning dragon who arrived with him and serves as his assistant. They use their lightning magic to power their machines.

Back on the Shifting Expanse, Tech worked as a developer of machines specifically made to improve the way of life in the Lightning Flight. He took frequent trips to the neighbouring Water and Light territories, the latter of which he gave him an unusual find. In the weathered frescoes and reliefs found all over the Sunbeam Ruins, clues could be found pertaining to an ancient disaster. It had been brought upon by some giant machine, built by a people lost to time.
After inquiring in the area, Tech learned from the Light Flight's excellent history scholars that the depictions were of an event occurring at the end of the Second Age. They had been made either by survivors of the massive extinction, or by carvers who’d learned of it through oral tradition, years after the fact .
His interest peaked, Tech proceeded to learn everything he could about the subject, and spent the following months studying and analyzing. He dug up small references to the event made by long dead historians, read scrolls full of theories regarding the nature of the wonderful machine and copied maps and blueprints of structures built in that period, which had long since crumbled to dust.
His research brought Tech to the Starfall Isles where the young coatl interviewed astronomers and high magicians. The history part wasn’t too hard to uncover, after all, countless dragons had spent their lives researching the topic and the deities who’d witnessed its aftermath were still present on this earth. However, Tech was much more interested in the ‘how’ and ‘why’ than just the ‘what’. He felt he could bring something truly unique to the table were he to figure out how this machine had operated, and what its intended function had been.
