Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this pale gem wandered a little too far from his home lair (MusicForTheSoul, 330262), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Lore:
Aurectri Clan (EmeraldJubilee), Light, 9/17/17

His yearning to travel hit Magsys at a much younger age and much stronger than most Wind dragons. So, when Magsys was still a hatchling, he left his clan and the Windswept Plateau, searching for adventure. Oh, what wonders he may find!

The Sea of a Thousand Currents was too big. And too loud! The Ashfall Waste was too hot and smoky. The Shifting Expanse was so boring looking, what could be found there? So he kept flying.
Eventually, he made it to the coast of the Sunbeam Ruins. He was flying along the cliff face, thinking about staying here or the Viridian Labyrinth for awhile, when he saw it. A beautiful hunk of amber, glittering like gold in the sun, simply stuck to the side of the cliff. Curious, Magsys flew up to the amber dome, and found a rather large hole on one side. Through said hole, Magsys could see a long tunnel illuminated by sunlight. Now this, this was interesting!
Magsys crawled through and landed quietly on the stone floor. Looking around, Magsys saw three different tunnels leading from this one. There were unlit torches along this tunnel as well, unused as long as the sunlight provided enough light. Did someone live here? Should he leave? A slithery sound and the click of claws wove up through one of the tunnels. Too late.
Magsys desperately searching for somewhere to hide, but to no avail. Turning, he tried to face the sound bravely, though he couldn't help scrunching his eyes shut. The sound got louder and louder and closer and closer until-
"Oh! Malzahar, dear, look!" The voice was riddled with pale whistles and clicks. "A hatchling! He's not one of the clan's, is he?"
Magsys winces.
"No." The voice was deeper, but still had the same clicking sounds. "I don't think he is. Who are you, little one?"
"I-I'm M-Magsys." He squeaked without opening his eyes.
"It's okay, Magsys. We're not going to hurt you." The first voice soothed.
Magsys opened his eyes reluctantly, and found two shimmering Coatls smiling down at him.
"I'm Teorah," said the purple Coatl. "and this is my mate, Malzahar." Toearah said, motioning to the grey and pink Coatl beside her. "Why are you here, Magsys?"
Magsys puffed his chest out some. "I'm an explorer! I'm exploring!"
Teorah chuckled softly, but Malzahar looked worried. He tapped his mate's shoulder, and the two clicked and whistled at one another for a while. Had...had he broken them?
Eventually, Teorah smiled back down at Magsys.
"That's wonderful, Magsys! Would you like to stay with me and Malzahar for a little while? You need your strength, if you're going to be exploring, after all." She said.
Magsys agreed, and stayed with Teorah and her mate for a few weeks. During this time, Magsys never left their cave unless it was on the shoulder of Teorah or on the wings of Malzahar. Sometimes, another dragon would walk by, but the two Coatl's said not to talk to anyone else here. Magsys didn't understand why, some of them seemed really nice, but he did as the pair asked. They were giving him food and shelter, after all.
When it came time for him to leave, a few tears were shed, but the pair understood. Teorah was a Wind dragon, too! And had the best stories about her adventures, there was no way she was making Magsys stay here. Before he left the underground clan, Teorah and Malzahar gave him a Sweetpuff familiar, as young hatchlings shouldn't travel alone. He promised to write. Did the two look nervous when he said that?
Oh well, adventure awaits!

The Infestation (Twistedstripe), Plague, 9/26/17

After some careful thinking, it was decided the next stop on the fae's adventure was to be the Scarred Wasteland, home of the Plague. The hatchling had heard stories of the gruesome land before, and the cruel, awful dragons who thrived within it.

In the time Magsys traveled to the fabled domain, the young fae had grown into a full-fledged dragon, no longer the tiny, naive hatchling he was when the journey begun. However, though he had matured greatly, nothing could prepare the fae for the what he would see when he finally arrived-a dark, blood-red land, holding up a blackened-brown, clouded sky, the land below it littered with pale, rotting logs, decaying carcasses and massive roots that pulsed through the earth like veins.

At the sight of this, the poor dragon abandoned his plans and the Plague land, and decided to test his luck by flying aimlessly away from the land. Where to, he did not know, but all he wanted was to go somewhere, anywhere, away.

Tropical Glade Clan (Lirillith) Nature, 5/11/18

His aimless wanderings took him through - or rather, over - the Tangled Wood, where he slept uneasily in the tops of trees, caught insects on the move in clearings and then rushed once again to skim over treetops, hoping all the while for some signs of life and welcome. Unfortunately, his approach to traveling didn't bring into contact with many residents, or with enough insects, and he was exhausted and ravenous by the time he emerged on the outskirts of the Viridian Labyrinth. Luckily for him, he happened upon a party of fae and spirals hunting insects for their clan, and they were happy to offer him a share of their haul and shelter in their lair. He stayed for a time, resting and recuperating, before taking to the skies once again.

Coral Cove (ItachiUmbreon) Water, 5/22/18

It had been some time since his last adventure in the Tangled Woods and frankly, he barely remembered what had happened there. It was all a blur! Perhaps he had accidentally ingested something that disagreed with him. Regardless, he was exhausted. Flying high above the sea, he noted that he was once again in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. It was probably best to keep moving. He doubted there would much food here. What I wouldn't give for dinner right about now! Lost in his thoughts for a moment, he felt a little homesick and wondered how his family was doing.

So lost in his thoughts was he, that he failed to notice that the winds around him had picked up speed! A storm was quickly moving in and the little Fae was caught in it. He flapped desperately to escape, to make it to land where it would be safer for him, but it was no good. The wind had gotten hold of him and refused to let go of its new plaything. No! I have to get out. Come on! You can do this! You're a wind dragon! Magsys struggled to regain control, but soon found it harder and harder. Turned around, he no longer had any idea which way land was. The waves climbed higher and higher around him until at last one claimed him and he was swept away...

The sun shone brightly on the little Fae as he coughed and groaned. Magsys looked around and noticed that he had made it to land...somehow. Well, at least he was alive and well. Nothing seemed broken. He was just a little sore. The rustling of nearby wings caught his attention and he looked up to see a blue Fae coming towards him.

"Are you alright?" she said.

"Um yeah, just fine. Just a little sore is all." Magsys pushed himself to his feet and puffed out his chest, showing that he really was fine.

"My name is Umiko. I live with my clan not far from here. If you'd like, you can come and rest for a bit!"

Magsys agreed and followed Umiko to her clan. There were many dragons of all shapes and sizes relaxing in the cove. He noticed the abundance of hatchlings, as well as the presence of other traveling dragons resting on their trip. One dragon in particular caught his attention. He was a large Imperial who also hailed from the Wind flight! He was regaling stories of his adventures to the young hatchlings. Magsys couldn't help himself and sat to listen as well! The Imperial introduced himself as Pearl and invited Magsys to share his stories for the little ones as well.

So Magsys happily shared stories of his adventures with all who cared to listen. He happily ate with the clan and spent quite some time recovering from his ordeal. While he was there, he made sure to entertain the hatchlings, and marvel at the discoveries Pearl had made in his explorations. As much as Magsys enjoyed his time with the clan, and his new friend Pearl, he knew that it was soon time to leave. On that day, Pearl presented him with a Pathfinder's Tail Twist. It was a gift to remember him and the clan by. Magsys promised to write and keep in touch. With that, he spread his wings and flew away with no real destination in mind. He'd let the wind take him.

Tangled Woods (Blackice73) Shadow, 6/21/18

Magsys had flown near the Tangled Forest over and over again, never once stopping to look into it's depths. As his small feet landed in the sand an exhaustion he had yet to notice took over and pulled him into a deep sleep.

his eyes fluttered open when he heard voices whispering around him. He look up to his right to see a blue Wildclaw looking over him with a concerned expression, he looked to be arguing with someone just out of view. Magsys groaned when he felt his head pound. The Wildclaw turning to look at Magsys.
"Oh dear." The Wildclaw spoke with an accent Masys couldn't decipher. "I am sorry this happened to you."
The Wildclaw noticed that Magsys was confused with the situation.
"I am Isisdoro." He points to a beautiful male Pearlcatcher. ." And this is my mate Tuck. He can be quite a handful you see. Whenever someone new enters our territory he will send out his Light Demon, Alastor, to go an fetch them. It keeps our clan safe and hidden."
Isisdoro looked at Tuck, who grunted and shrugged in response.
"Why don't you stay for a bit? That headache will stick around, but should be better in a week. I promise not everyone is as grumpy as him." Isisdoro grinned down at Magsys with a playful smile.
Magsys stayed longer than expected. Everyone here was interesting, their stories all told of being an outcast for one reason or another. Magsys even met a dragon that was previously a traveler like himself, but found herself staying in this clan for as long as she lived. Magsys even considered is for quite some time.
Moss taught Magsys all he should know about keeping safe and out of danger. After telling everyone he needed to go Magsys bid farewell to Moss. He even tried to convince her to come with him, but her love for the dragons here kept her in this clan forever and always. As a parting gift she gave him apparel to keep him safe during the rest of his adventure.
With that he set off yet again, in search of something he felt he was missing, a home.
