Jackson was simply fluttering about in the Gladeveins. His mother and father monitored him throughout the day while he did this to ensure he didn't run off and get lost accidentally. He loved his parents to death and it was never thought of him to leave them. Everyone that knew him - including his mom and dad - saw him as what he always was: a smart, spoiled kid. Until just that one day.

Jack's parents were arguing, again, but this time it wasn't mild compared to their other incidents. In the small tree they stayed in, all the little Fae could hear was yelling. He was even able to clearly make out what they were saying, "He won't make it! He's a poor, weak child who won't make it!" He finally could perceive it. His mother's hatred for her little purple son. The boy's dad did the best he could to defend the small dude, but all she would do back was shout.

The next few days had been tragic for Jack. His mother would treat him terribly, not feeding him, ignoring him, not even letting his dad do anything for him. But the one time she did pay attention to him was when he'd try leaving. Once his tiny feet left the ground with his wings flitting, the female would announce, "Get back here right now young man!" Then he'd just cry.
All he wanted was to be safe, but she wouldn't allow it. Just abuse. After multiple days' worth of this, he devised the plan to leave at night while his parents were sleeping. First, he wrote a letter to his dad saying what he did, not to worry about him, why he did it, that he loves him, and to burn the letter once he read it that way his mom won't see it. Throughout the night, he flew around large trees and over and under long vines in search of a new place for himself to live. It wasn't until morning when he spotted a lovely little pond with insects and animals where he would stay to live.

About a week after his discovery, he saw a handsome young Fae boy with a fancy fedora sitting upon his head humming to himself. Jack began to pad his way behind a small tree to observe the other Fae. However, the little purple kid made a little bit of noise which got the passerby's attention. The other boy's ears perked up and he stopped to turn his head to look at the tree where Jack was trying to hide.

When Jackson thought he was spotted, he froze in terror. The passerby stood there for a little bit, eyes glancing around, then went back to walking and humming to himself. Jack then started to quietly follow the adult for quite some time until they reached a small sign that read "Welcome to Greenwood." A small, male Skydancer who is the Headmaster walked up to the little black and brown Fae and said, "I see you have some more food for us! And - a visitor?"

Both adults turned to face little Jackson. The adult Fae was very confused while the younger one was scared. "I - I don't remember him," the fedora wearing dragon said. "Well, looks like he's staying with us, since he doesn't seem to want to leave you," the Headmaster said. Jack just stared at him blankly. "Well, little one, if you need a place to stay, Greenwood is always free to live in. Call me Headmaster Shiro, or just Headmaster. Patrick here will help you get settled in and everything due to you seeming to like him." The boy nodded his small head and began to follow Patrick around until he got comfortable with the area. Later, he became more talkative and less fearful and he even took a liking to traveling and Halloween. He is once again happy and is still kind as always, but struggles with depression every now and then.
