Imagine Robinia's surprise when--on one of her casual fly overs of the Lightkeeper realm--she noticed a large Guardian dragon acting erratically. The huge female dragon swung her head left and right, her jowls foaming, and behind her sat an empty nest.

Robinia felt a characteristic need to help, but when she dropped lower to get a closer look the female Guardian snapped out and nearly took Robinia's wing off. To the small fae's horror, three very young hatchlings sat beneath the massive females feet. Their eyes blinked up in a myriad of colors. Though it killed her to leave the three fluffy imperials there, their stolen bodies quivering with fear, Robinia was no match for the Guardian. She quickly flew back to the Lair.

It took Nightshade, Taliana, and Morrighan to bring down the sick Guardian and save the poor hatchlings whom she had stolen. Though members of the Clan spread out far and wide, none of the three Imperial babies could be reunited with their original parents. The Guardian who stole them probably murdered any dragon who got in her way.

The three Imperials grew up as brothers. They did not appreciate any attempts by the females of the Clan to adopt them. They grew up fast and strong. To repay the Clan which saved them, the three Imperials used their skills to maraud the Coliseum. They also tend to protect those in need of protection.

Mintaka, the youngest, is by far the most cunning. He is the unspoken leader amongst the three, a calculating strategist with a peculiar ability to calculate risk and gain. Values mercy but not at the cost of justice.
