Aspen

This hyper dragon took off flying before he could even walk. Not a single member of the clan was able to keep up with the hatchling in the air. The only thing that even comes close to revealing Aspen’s speed is his sweet tooth. He is a sucker for any sort of sweet treat, and will show up anywhere in the clan’s territory if he smells an appetizing item in the works. Aspen spends countless hours in his workshop, creating toys for the hatchlings and constantly experimenting. The best part is, he works right beside his mate, allowing them to stay beside each other most of their time.






Born to fly, his parents swear he learned that before walking. It doesn't matter how close or far anything his, the boy will find a way to spread his wings, even if just to show them off. With flying, however, means having to move just as fast to avoid your wings getting hurt, especially in the forests where he was born. The dragon maneuvers like water in a river, twisting and turning without warning. To others it seems almost automatic, like he's been doing it all of his life, but Aspen can just see and plan five steps ahead. He has yet to even bruise his wings. His weakness, however, sweets. From candy to drinks to actual meals, he's there, already eating it. Opening a bag of gummy worms across the clan territory? Boom, he's there in your window, wondering if he can have some. Making yourself some hot chocolate? Boom, right there asking for a cup. He can smell it. It's almost frightening.




He takes to the air and catches the breeze
He flies like the wind, rushing through the trees
This way and that way he'll turn and he'll spin
Flashing his feathers and wearing a grin
What joyous delight this fellow has for life
He seems almost carefree, a life without strife
Yet what does he want more than anything?
A sweet treat is what will really make him sing.
