Naval Captain

Llyr is a smug, boisterous and flirtatious dragon, with a strong sense of adventure, and he relishes in his freedom greatly. There is a colder, more wicked side to him — but few are unlucky enough to see it.

He uses his elemental affinity of Lightning, and a pinch of Water magic he's studied along the way, to command storms and influence tides; this can make voyages much safer for his clan, or much more dangerous for others.

Most of his crew are Snappers, who rely on his captaincy to keep up with the clan's frequent migrations, as they cannot fly. It is for this reason that he will argue to the ends of Sornieth with some members of the clan - in particular its diminuitive Archivist Tokaku - about whether he is superfluous.

Despite butting heads with a few other members of the clan, he has found a lifelong friend in the elder Imriel, a wise old Snapper with a tendency to become just as boisterous with the right provocation. Despite having a claim to Serafin's parentage, he remains on somewhat shaky ground, though the two find themselves disagreeing less and less as of late.
