Men and women, dead and alive, seek the renowned seamstress Aiko out for her intricate works of art. She's a craftsman of unparalleled skill, and it carried on in the afterlife. Her shop is a small, crimson-boarded gold-trimmed garden with an overhang, and lines and lines of silk stored in intricately made chests. She sits atop a high pillow, and around her are the tools of her trade. When you enter, there is a small pond of koi fish, where a grizzled, scarred man is usually sitting.

When she was a young woman, many sought Aiko's hand in marriage, yet she held out. She didn't feel as if any held the other end of her red string, and thus promised herself she would wait for him, the one that would be on the other end. She found it in the older Hisashi. He was scarred and missing an arm when they first met, a disgraced samurai who had failed his lord who had little to live for. Though he traveled into the afterlife as per his duty to regain his honor, Aiko followed. They made their home in Yumi-no-kuni, and have since had children.
