Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this blue magic dragon wandered a little too far from his home lair (Chardons 307852), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!
Note from Mom
After the moment you where born, you where really energetic. You made quite a mess in the lair, I was so proud of you !
But I think that someone as energetic as you can't go and fight for the arcanist. The Starfall Isles is a chaotic place, that why I want you to go on a journey to discover the world.
Be good my son.

After the gentle dragon went away, I went through a pretty glowing forest. It was dark, but I was very brave, and made it through all on my own! After the forest, I found this really cool place- everything was red and green, with lots of cool roots and puddles and stuff. But it was getting kind of dark...and scary. So I hid under a log until morning. But then, when I woke up, there was a massive monster above me, with four red, glowing eyes! I was sooo scared, I though she was going to eat me! But then she smiled..and gave me some food! Oh yeah, and she's a dragon, by the way. Her name was Mativen, and she was really kind! She took me to a really big cave, and let me stay there for a while. She was worried about where my parents were, so I told her I was on an adventure, and she looked worried. But then she gave me a cool stuffy of their deity, Play..gue....brin..ger (Plaguebringer)....and a sparrow skull and some tiny feathers as a souvenir! I really like the stuffy, she's so soft! But I need to keep going on my adventure, so Mativen took me to the land border so I could go to the next place. Oh, and she wrote this for me. Thanks! #3 Escape! It kind of feels like something happened while I was out in the middle of nowhere in the Reedcleft Ascent. I don't really know how to explain it... but I think I've been growing up! Last I looked at myself, I was almost a full-grown Nocturne! I traveled into the night where I noticed a little fire in the distance. I looked more at it, and saw that there was a Clan there! I bounded in, but with one swoop, this Skydancer blasted me out of the way with cool shadow magic!! I looked up at him. From what he told me, the expression on my face was enough to kill a guy! Oh, and he warned me about this Clan. They seem to put those who weren't loyal enough to their leader in prisons! He told me that it had happened with the former leader. But I was curious, so I made my way in with him. And I saw her. I saw the leader herself, in all her glory. There was a Fae next to her, scribbling down notes as she blabbered on about something I don't remember. And she turned to me and her four eyes bored straight into me! Brhrrhghhghr!! "Are you a traveler, perhaps?" she asked. I got the chills! I nodded, and then was relieved. She thought that I would make a great warrior!!! I puffed my chest out with pride, even though the Skydancer had told me that she was kinda bad. Training started next day. I was paired with that same Skydancer and an Imperial! I got stronger, and stronger, and realized that I could use my arcane energies and stuff to fight!! I was able to become a much stronger member of the team that way. But there was another dragon, another one that would train with me. His eyes looked empty and dull whenever we were training, and the Skydancer especially took extra care that he wouldn't get hurt. One night, I couldn't sleep, so I took a walk around the lair. I saw them beating and bedraggling him!! I remembered Opal's words. "Don't cross her. You'll just get put in prison," he said. Now I was seeing that in front of me. The Mirror was struggling against her mercenaries. Opal, though, was mysteriously absent, though he was supposedly the strongest Mage in the Clan. I knew what I had to do. I woke him up and told him I needed to go, and fast. And I wouldn't complete my training here, but that was fine!!! I also couldn't complete my writing lessons with him, so we scrawled this out as fast as we could. As long as I could sneak past the guards that night, I would be able to escape and continue traveling!! I did. I escaped them. But only just. I gotta go! Bye, Opal!!! Oh yeah. He's the reason this one was so long. |

#4 Festival As I travel through a windy bamboo forest a young imperial suddenly appeared in front of me upside down giving me a "surprise", it turns out that she was learning how to hang on the tree with her tail from a spiral, and apparently it results in she hanging in front of me, "You looked tired, perhaps a little stay in our clan?"she asked, so I Accepted the invitation. In her clan I met an interesting dragon, she's a pearlcatcher, she seem hard to get along at first but turns out quite friendly, she jokes a lot and she loves gossip, ''from your eyes I can see, a celebration there will be." she said, and the next day there is a festival! it's called Starfall Celebration, it's an arcane flight festival, my flight! wonderful! I stayed there longer then I thought I would, but I had a really great time, in the meantime, I've finally finished my writing lesson with Freya! I wrote this chapter all by myself! when I was about to leave this clan, the young imperial I met at the forest even give me a blackwing croaker and a few plush, she says, treat the croacker well, and don't lose any of these plushie, or she'll find me, no matter where I am, and hit me, hard. they bid me farewell, and Freya said I could pay a visit to my home lair, I think that'll be a good idea, next stop home. |

#5 Home Sweet Home
End of A Young Dragon
Diary - A New begining
I left home, seeking of new adventures and new dragons to meet. |
#1 Trains I'm going on a new journey ! I waved my mother and all the dragons of home clan goodbye. I twisted my body as far as I could as I flew, and waved my arms. I've never set out from home properly before. I was only a very young dragon last time. It was a little scary. But exciting. I'm going back into the big world I grew up in ! I wanted to go somewhere I've never gone before. Mother gave me a map which shows that Arcane is west-north. So I go east-south - Lightning. I was very eager, but after days of flying I saw huge, dark, heavy clouds. Some dragons were flying amongst them. I saw one get hit by lightning ! I did not want to fly through that ! I flew to the ground. So dusty and dry, I don't like it here very much. I saw a shape in the distance that looked like a building. As I got closer I nearly tripped across a wide piece of metal on the ground, that stretched all the way to the horizon to the south and to the Sea north. It looked like a ladder that's fallen down. The building I went to was big and long, but very lonely in the scrub. A snapper sitting behind glass window asked me "Welcome to Prickly Pear Station. Where would you like to ride to ?" "Ride ?" I asked. She seemed to understand my confusion. "Ride a train. They take you all across the Lightnings. The next one's coming soon, tell me if you want to board." A short time later a giant metal thing came roaring the laid-down ladder. Huge and long ! And so noisy ! I could see a door open in it and some dragons came out, walking dizzily with their bags and shaking their heads. I turned and told the snapper that I would not be riding. I was brave, but not that brave ! #2 Ghost and I had fallen asleep by the time the train had reached the end of the line, and we were greeted by warm, yellow lights illuminating the night sky. Of course, I reasoned, we must have reached the light territory. I woke up Ghost, and we exited the train together. The ruins by the road we traveled got older and more... well, ruined as we went along. At last, we found the lights of modern civilization in the distance--lights that offered us hope. But the same feeling that had struck me as a child struck me with those lights, they seemed... familiar. As familiar as the wind before the Clan of Chrysoberyl. Ghost seemed to have noticed that I stopped in my tracks, so I told her everything. About the prophecy, the Shadow mage that had taught me how to read and write, how I narrowly escaped life in prison for the crime of being an outsider. We arrived to the conclusion that if I escaped once, I could escape another time. Though in retrospect, none of us would have decided this in our right minds. We booked it. Grabbed a few other dragons along the way. Got lost for a few years. Nothing particularly grand, just trying to find our way to safety. |
|
#3 Sanctuary Everything got all confused in the escape from Chrysoberyl. I ended up alone again, on the border between Light and Lightning. All around me are the ruins of an old city, cloaked in darkness ! I heard strange noises and saw things out of the corners of my eyes... something is seriously wrong here ! All of a sudden, a strange shade slashed at me, landing a hit right on my arm above my armor! I lashed back out at it, but it shimmered and vanished, like smoke ! A shining veilspun gave the shade one slash, and it disappeared in a puff. She asked me if I was hurt, and told me her name was Summer. She said I should come with her to safety ! I followed her to a small ruins with a crumbling roof, where many different kinds of dragons lingered around. Everyone there seemed sleepy... Summer told me many of the dragons had travelled far and wide, and were seeking sanctuary, just like me. Summer gave me a small blue light that she said should help me through the darkness of the city when I decide to go. She said I was free to stay as long as I liked. The dragons here seemed very kind, and I knew that I was safe, but I just couldn't feel safe inside these ruins. I hoped I could become better and leave soon, though maybe I could make some friends before I go. After a week, I was accepted into a new clan. I tried to return to my home-flight, but there was simply no room for me at home. I have some cool new armour- and I'm training to protect my new friends! I miss mother- but this is my new life, and I'm happy here. I even got a new pet snake- his name is Tofu . |
